The lady I talked to Susan was very pleasant and we had a good visit as well. A huge thank for the picture of my dear friend on your delivery confirmation e-mail, that was a pleasant surprise.
We ordered flowers for my sisters memorial. Due to not wanting a ton of flowers we had already requested that guests not bring flowers. We conferred with the florist over the phone as they do not allow you access to their store. What we were promised was a low and lush arrangement with my sister's favorite flowers of Calla lilies, peonies, and hydrangea. What we got was an over stuffed vase with flowers shoved willy nilly into the vase to ensure that the price tag of $300 was reached. My mother's heart was crushed when the flowers were delivered. She couldn't refuse the delivery as she didn't expect to have any other flowers. Fortunately, a family friend had an arrangement delivered by Bagoy's. That arrangement was 100% better and probably less costly than the bad arrangement we received from "A Special Touch". I have included pictures of the actual arrangement received as well as one of the arrangements my mother has made of artificial flowers and the all white arrangement delivered by Bagoy's. You can see the difference in the quality, style and thought put into each arrangement. Update Response to Owner: Your husband is mistaken in that we had "family' there. What he is quoting were friends that were there to support my mother. Whether they thought it was amazing or not is irrelevant to my review. The ONLY family members present at the time of the delivery were my mother and myself. If your husband was actually observant he would have noticed the complete and utter desolation in my mother's face upon seeing the arrangement. Either way it is obvious from the conversation on the phone and your response here, that you think you did an outstanding job of constructing the floral arrangement to what we asked for. So in order to fully illustrate just how 'shoddy' of a job you did I will gladly post pictures of the state the flowers were in when we re-arranged them. We found wooden stakes shoved into flower stems. Other flowers were not even IN the water of the vase provided. Some flowers were shoved into the single flower tubes then attached to bamboo skewers to achieve the height you desired, which meant they were never going to last more than 1-2 days. There were no less than 2 stems with NO flowers attached inserted to "hold" up less then quality flowers. You can try to save face by attacking my previous reviews. That only shows that you KNOW you did a lack luster job and you're just trying to discredit my opinion of your work. So the pictures I am attaching will stand as testament of your work. Let the public decide if they want to employ a florist that literally destroys not only the flowers she sells but the trust put in her to deliver a quality product at a families lowest point. Ladies and Gentlemen as you can see starting with the yellow tulip photo, the quality and care put into making the 'arrangement" is anything but professional or 'quality'. All of the additional photos were taken 2 days after the memorial in an attempt to make a better arrangement by my mother There was at least one tulip that was only a stem, the hyacinths had bamboo skeweres shoved through them, One of the hydrangeas was half dead, a peony and peony stem are partially wilted, the Calla lillies were shoved into the middle of the hydrangea making them look like they were being 'birthed' by the hydrangea, the green roses (which were not an approved color) were already wilting, A couple of callas were already dead/dying, and WHO in their right mind uses the little single flower water bubbles to make an arrangement. Now the last 3 photos attached are the 2 arrangements my mother was able to make out of the menagerie of flowers that this lady 'shoved' into the provided arrangement. Something as simple as the hydrangeas and peonies would have been perfect in comparison. Either way I leave it to the public to decide what they want to believe. Delivery person called me upon delivery, I wasn’t expecting flowers so surprise not anymore. She definitely should have called my husband who ordered the flowers for direction on which door to take them to. Secondly, the flowers were dried and crunchy within 5 days of delivery, no exposure to sun or conditions. Mylords bouquet lasted 2 weeks in the same office and the delivery person made it a surprise by calling my husband for further direction.
I called later in the day, spur of the moment, and Susan was so kind and patient to help get the order placed and delivered the same day. We had problems getting my card to be verified for security since I was calling from Colorado . She worked with me until it was all perfect . She was even so kind to text me pictures of the arrangement I told her I was looking for. I would highly recommend this shop, and speak with Susan.
My husband bought me flowers from this shop for the first time last week and I have to say. I am impressed. #1, getting hydrangeas to last more than a day or two without being wilted or limp in an arrangement is impressive! # 2 the flowers still look great six days post delivery. Very impressed, we will be back !! Thank you First pic from delivery - beautiful Last pic 6 days after delivery! - still going strong!
