Good store, never knew how absolutely amazing it was to have a legit bakery IN the grocery store before I no longer had it. I miss their French bread more than I miss not having to deal with humidity in the mountains; and I really hope my 14 year legacy of being the little girl who got Kalamata olive bread cut on five so often they told new hires about me lives on in one way or another.
Great selection, prices are a little high even for alaska. Good gas prices make sure to use you rewards number you get 3 cents off even if you have no points.
CARRS grocery store in Eagle River is a nice place to shop. They always seem to have whatever I’m looking for, especially when the other stores don’t have it. I’ve heard people say that their stuff is to expensive, but is it really. Their fruits and vegetables seem to last way longer than the stuff from other cheap grocery stores. Kind of hard to beat their quality.
It's a fine enough grocery store. I prefer it over the other large chain. You only have so many options up here. But this store has to get new carts. I only have a choice between a giant plastic cart I don't need or a smaller metal cart that's rusted out snd has wheels with terrible wobbling. I don't want more giant carts as a solution. When I'm getting 10-15 items there's no sense having more oversized carts that block the aisles.
