I love this store-- I manage a home nearby. To people who live around it, it's like a pantry. It's a little bit more expensive than Fred Meyer, but it doesn't have the same level of traffic which makes it more convenient and I don't mind spending a little bit of extra money here. One thing - - the meat deals are decent but it drives me crazy when I go through the checkout and for whatever reason the cashiers do not like to remove the 30% off tags from the packages. It takes all of 2 seconds to take them off the packages. I keep wanting to get up the nerve to tell them that I need them taken off but it's embarrassing because I feel like I'm giving them something extra to do. I take the food over to the family's house and the lady of the house is looking at the receipt twice or thrice to make sure that I got a few dollars off. I bought some meat today and I watched the cashier do her thing to give me the discount and she just won't remove the tags! At the end she told me that she got them-- but it turns into a bit of a hassle on my end. I could remove these myself but It's a hassle to deal with after I get them out to the car. It's just a hassle to take that my stuff out of the bags and remove the stickers when it could just be done in the checkout line by the cashiers. Of course I had a cashier tell me that I couldn't take them off myself and showed them to her before I went through the line. I like all the people who work here, everyone is friendly, and even the customers are pretty nice.
I’ve shop with Carr’s most of my life. I was disappointed when my pick up order of mini marshmallows were a big clump. An apple was rotten. An ice cream was opened. I had a deadline for a graduation dinner. Please encourage our shoppers to shop for food items they’d want. Someone is careless & lazy. Your workers are representing your organization.
I quit shopping at Fred Meyer in Palmer. Incompetent cashiers. Always a good experience at Carrs, tho!!!
Honestly, some of the best value in sushi in the valley. Sit-down restaurants will charge $18 and up for a sushi roll, but here you can get 90% of the quality for half the price. The selection is limited, but adequate. The rest of the store is surprisingly well stocked for it's size. Sales are pretty good, and coupon clipping actually makes a difference. One of the few stores around that is open till midnight, which has been very helpful on multiple occasions for late night snack or ice cream runs. Overall, I end up shopping here more than Freddie's.
Great for shopping and pharmacy even though the pharmacy takes a bit if the line is long. Food is fresh and people are pretty helpful too.
