If you're looking for a big box store that has all the things, this is it. You can get a hot lunch, ingredients to make dinner, a table to serve it on and a chair to sit in. Clothing and electronics as well. It is in semi-rural Alaska, so it isn't the cheapest place to shop, but prices are generally what one expects around here. The deli has the only halfway decent fried chicken for a hundred miles in any direction. The liquor store is not huge but has a big selection, including some items you won't see in other local liquor stores, and sometimes has great deals.
If y'all buy any slim Jim's here check the best by date, this is the second time I've bought expired slim Jim's from this store, expired by several months.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Selection and Fresh Groceries! I had a fantastic shopping experience at Fred Meyer! As someone who wears tall sizes, I'm often disappointed by limited options at most stores, but Fred Meyer really impressed me with their huge selection of work clothes in tall sizes. It's so refreshing to find a store that actually stocks what I need without having to special order or shop online. The grocery section was equally impressive. The produce was noticeably fresh, and they had everything I was looking for. I love being able to get both my work wardrobe and groceries in one convenient trip. Fred Meyer has definitely earned my loyalty as a regular customer. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality clothing selection and fresh groceries all under one roof!
Prices and quality very similar to my small local grochery store in utah. Walked from Aspen Hotel (avoiding main road) via: board walk, zigzagged through dealerships. Stopped at nice bookstore. Nice walk & took a taxi back (sun had set).
My mom went shopping for food and Xmas items, and ended up having issues with her card (even though it worked just an hour prior at another store) and had a cart full of sale items and presents. Frantic, she called and asked what she should do. I talked her into talking to an employee about holding until the next day. I listened as she spoke to two employees, which stated they could hold the cart until the end of the next day. Next day, 2pm she calls and they said she never called them by 10 AM, there was a miscommunication, and they put it ALL back. Nothing they can do about it. One of the customer service employees who helped arrange it, didn't even work that day. Hundreds of dollars they missed out on for them- but more so, time my mom could have spent on something or somewhere else. No compensation, or ideas to help out. Plus, all of the gifts she found for everyone are gone and she is now back at square one. Only pro is the new lady I spoke to was very kind, and empathetic about the situation.
