If you ever find yourself in Bakersfield looking for a place that feels like creativity and community rolled into one, Dearly Beloved Floral & Gifts is exactly that spot. I attended this for a Yelp Elite event here on January 22nd, and it turned out to be one of those visits where everything just clicked — literally, from the moment I met the owner, Melanie. Melanie is one of those business owners who immediately makes you feel welcome. She was in full creative mode when I arrived — busy talking to customers, handling deliveries and in the middle of creating arrangements for a couple of local high schools — yet still managed to balance professionalism with genuine kindness. Once she had a breather, we got right into conversation as if we’d known each other for longer than the three minutes I was in the shop.That connection says a lot about her personality and the pride she takes in her work.The showroom itself is just as lovely as the person running it. It’s one of those spaces that keeps you engaged,— cute gifts, handcrafted items, floral decorations, soaps, and sweet treats all beautifully displayed. There’s a little bit of everything here, which makes it fun to browse and find something unique for almost anyone. I personally puchased candles that bleed ....and Melanie knows how to price her items... I found these candles for various prices online... none of them comparable.. unless of course I got 100 of them directly from the manufacturer.. No Thank you.. I'll purchase them here locally.. Another highlight was the inclusion of Sherry’s Creations, Her cookies were unbelievably decorated — the samples ,Strawberry Milkshake,Brownie, Red velvet and Chocolate mint— all 4 tasted exactly like their handwritten labels and full of flavor. I also noticed Meemaw's Soaps & stuff, which looked wonderful with so many varieties to choose from. Luckily, I was given a few samples, and though I haven’t had the chance to try mine yet, just the scents alone, I can tell they’re thoughtfully made products that fit right in with the quality of everything else in the shop. Overall, it was one of those experiences that reminded me why I love local businesses — creativity, community connection, and love of every product produced ,all under one roof. I’ll definitely be back, not just to grab flowers or gifts, but to support a space that clearly serves Bakersfield with a whole lot of heart.

There aren't Enough Words I can or could say about this place, Dearly Beloved Florist, This Place is Amazing!! My Husband passed away last month 11-14-2025.. I wasn't sure where to go to order flowers, because I never thought in a million years I would be doing this because I lost my Husband, My Best-Friend 💔😢.. I wasn't sure where to go or look to get flowers, so I just look up on Google about different Florist Shops, I Seen all kinds of them, I was also concerned about price as well, considering I was on a Budget, When I Seen This Florist place with the Name Dearly Beloved, Something just told me to go there, so I did, and that Something Was God! When I Called The Young Lady Was So Nice, Her Name is Melanie, we talked I told her I wanted to go there that day, she sent me the address, and said when ever is convenient for you, to come on down.. I went straight there on 12-17-2025 When I got there even walking up to the door I was sick inside just the thought I was gonna purchase flowers for my Husband because of his Passing away, I wanted to Throw-Up, Because this is not how it's supposed to be.. As I walked thru the door, I was greeted with Such, Friendliness, Sincerity, and compassion, this young lady Melanie listened to all my Concerns and how I wanted everything, she was so understanding, especially when i told her my husband was a Dolphins Fan, and i wanted the one Standing Spray to Have Dolphins colors, Melanie even worked with me on The Price, this place is soo amazing, the FLOWERS WERE SO BEAUTIFUL, Whomever Put the flowers together did an ABSOLUTE BEAUTIFUL JOB, the ones who DELIVERED the FLOWERS, they were so CAREFUL and KIND, they did EVERYTHING PERFECTLY PERFECT! I had my HUSBAND'S SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE On Saturday 12-20-2025 Considering everything how hard it was, How I MISS AND LUVV MY DAVID MY WAVY DAVY WITH ALL MY HEART, FOREVER AND EVER.. Dearly Beloved Helped be a part in how nice everything was, it was a Beautiful but very sad and Heartbreaking Day.. So glad I chose this local flower shop for my sisters birthday. We live out of state and wanted a beautiful arrangement. They worked with our budget and the roses were gorgeous! I definitely recommend this flower shop. Gals over the phone very friendly and gave great recommendations. We will be using them from now on.

Melanie has always taken great care of me. Whether it was a boutonniere for our father-daughter dances or flowers for my wife, she has always delivered. Her work is consistently beautiful, thoughtful, and exceptional. Highly recommend.

This floral shop went above and beyond! I am so grateful that they have online ordering and can make special requests. I marked the wrong date but was able to change it no problem. The arrangement arrived on time and looked amazing. 10 outta 10 would recommend! The people who work here are also very kind and take the time to make it heartfelt 💛
