This review is 3 months late nearly to the day, but I still want to write it because my venture into this modest little local flower shop was unforgettable. I only have a small vase to use for my father's altar, and his death anniversary was approaching. Being busy, I was going to buy a bouquet during at one of the big grocery chains and take out a stem from it. I have for a long time noticed this shop and always wanted to look in but always got a bit intimidated to go in without sure purchase. As I walked on Castro that day after lunch, I passed by it and decided on a whim to walk in. After all, I finally could walk in knowing for sure I wasn't just going to "only look," and it would have saved me an extra detour to a grocery store. Came in, got asked what I wanted, and when I said I only wanted something really small and short, was told to look into the fridge and choose from whatever was inside. Whatever made me stop in my tracks as I walked by to come in, also did its magic then. I was planning to make a makeshift mini bouquet and put it in the vase for the altar, but my very first initial plan was to buy a small orchid pot. Just couldn't figure how the height it would fit so the plan was scratched and adjusted. Lo and behold, among the fridge being filled with just long-stemmed flowers in buckets, hidden in the back corner was this small short purple orchid stem in a glass. The orchid plant that stood in our dining room for years in my childhood was purple. As soon as I saw it, I stopped looking further and took it out. Being excited at having found the perfect choice that I didn't even know I wanted before I saw it, I then eagerly asked "how much for it?" We now arrive at the reason why I'm writing this review when I seldom ever bother to: The male florist, taking one look at the meager stem, told me I didn't have to pay for it (!). According to him, it was leftover from a previous flower arrangement order, and I could just take it for free!! I never like the feeling that I'm taking advantage of someone, so I took out the cash in my wallet, but he insisted that I didn't have to pay or tip. And then, seeing that I was just planning to hold that stem in my hand all the way back home, offered to put it in a container with water for me. All this time, I never even mentioned anything about my dad's anniversary (I only did after everything to let them know how much this particular flower meant to me), it was just pure generosity of spirit. When sense of small local community is increasingly rare, a place like this that values human exchange and creates memorable interactions through kindness deserves support of the community and I wanted to make sure that its ethos was recognized with this review. Thank you for making a difficult day into a positive memory!

Steven helped us design, create, set up, and relocate flowers between venues for our wedding last year. We were very happy, and he's a really cool dude. We especially appreciate the design process; asking us for pictures of what we were looking for, then sending us pictures of his work-in-progress up until the day before the wedding. Everything turned out better than our expectations.

Spectacular flowers for my Mom’s service!! Fleur de Lis was her favorite florist, and she loved flowers. We showed them her favorite painting and a bouquet they had made that she loved, and they created gorgeous arrangements with perfect color and floral selections. They honored her and brought extra beauty to a difficult day. They also lasted a long time for us to enjoy afterward and share with medical staff. Truly amazing. Thank you!!

I came here looking for pretty flowers for my elopement tomorrow. I just knew that I wanted pastel colors and the guy made me this beautiful bouquet! I love it so much! All the flowers are so beautiful and fresh and smell amazing! The price was awesome! We paid $70 including taxes. I highly recommend this place :)

Absolutely a rip-off! The $145 flowers were puny plus a $30 delivery plus I tipped for total of $200 (sucker!) - My wife warned me - as she sent flowers from another and was surprised at how ridiculously small the flowers were - next time send candy - or go to Costco or a grocery store - you have been warned.
