Safeway

24-hour shopping is Plus for me because I normally work the graveyard shift. Sunday night is my only night off and so I get to go shopping early in the morning. The store is always clean and well-stocked. Also I get to see friendly people like Mike who works there stocking the shelves at night. Thanks Safeway.

Worst Safeway experience ever. Man selling egg rolls was very unfriendly. Girl selling chicken strips was apparently bothered that I wanted to buy some. My Safeway is Granite Dr and they’re always friendly there. Very disappointed.

Location is great for quick grab; however when you are looking for the store to fulfill items that are discounted plus coupon, you will have to look at other Safeway store. We often have to select our offers in the app to load in our cart to evaluate, this store won’t offer it and when you look at Folsom Safeway they always fulfill it with coupon and items on offered. Would recommend you set Folsom as pick up location and just drive another 15 mins to grab it.

I have 2 reviews to give. Let me start by saying I have been a regular customer of this Safeway for over 18 years. In those years, I have seen all levels of customer service. My first review is for Sam, who is the Starbucks kiosk manager. She ALWAYS has a smile, gives exemplary customer service and has the patience I could only hope to have. I have seen her train new employees many times, all the while continuing to ensure the smooth running of her kiosk. She is an asset not only to Starbucks, but to the Safeway corporation. My second review is not so positive. One of the managers, Nathan, was let go. I have heard several accounts, from various sources within the store, that the termination was unjust and others involved in the situation did it to be spiteful and retaliatory. I am aware that managers are held to a different standard, but said "occurance" happened before he was management and had different consequences. Nathan was an example of an employee who stepped up and did what not only was necessary, but went beyond and enhanced the customer experience. He greeted everyone with a smile and assisted you in whatever way he could. I miss his commitment to his job and the public he served. His dismissal was a true disappointment and I feel reflects poorly on the current upper level managers, who knew what kind of job he was doing and chose to proceed anyway. As a former union member with Vons, I know had he not been in management, he would have gotten a write up. As I understand the "incident" happened during the union period in his Safeway career. Bad on the store management for ending what would have surely been a career that would only have been truly beneficial to store 8640.

Love shopping at my local Safeway. The staff is super friendly and always willingnto help. They truly go above and beyond.They have the best deals as long as you click your coupons. As a busy Mom I can count on Safeway to help me make quick, healthy choices for busy nights. This is a win win for my family and I. Thank you Safeway.
