Fraud Alert – The Worst Flower Shop We’ve Seen Every time my husband and I visit the Bouqs flower shop, we can’t help but notice how shockingly bad the flowers look. This is, without question, the worst flower shop we’ve ever seen. My husband is a seasoned florist and designer, and he was frozen in disbelief at how poorly maintained these flowers are and how sloppy the design work is. The arrangements regularly contain dead, drooping, crusty flowers. When we asked about the types of flowers he was working with, the young man behind the counter admitted he didn’t know. Why aren’t trained professionals working here? Why is an operation like this being run by people with no knowledge of floristry? After some digging, the answer became clear: Bouqs is run by people with no background in floristry whatsoever. And it shows. Last year, their arrangements actually looked beautiful—but now, the decline is staggering. The blame rests on upper management, who are clearly cutting corners by refusing to hire or properly train real florists. Corporate greed -How shocking. I genuinely feel sorry for the staff, who are set up to fail due to the lack of proper leadership and expertise. Customers deserve better than dead flowers and amateur design. If you want a real florist that will provide arrangements worth your money, this is not the place.
I purchased flowers from The Bouqs shop inside Whole Foods Market multiple times, and unfortunately, the quality has been consistently disappointing. While the customer service is great, and the store itself is appealing with beautiful bouquets on display, the flowers do not last. This is now the second time I’ve spent $65+ on a bouquet, only for it to wilt and die within three days. The same thing happened about four months ago, but I decided to give it another chance. This time, I bought my wife a nice bouquet, and once again, it was dead in just a few days. They claim their flowers are fresh, but that’s clearly not the case—either they aren’t fresh to begin with, or they aren’t taken care of properly. I’m not a florist, but I buy flowers almost every other week and know the difference between good and bad quality. I’ve had flowers last weeks, even months at times, so seeing them die this quickly is unacceptable. Although the arrangements are visually stunning, you’re better off buying flowers at Trader Joe’s or even Costco—they’re much cheaper and last significantly longer. Unfortunately, Bouqs at Whole Foods is a waste of money unless they improve their flower quality.
Failed with the most important part of sending someone flowers - delivering it on time! My order was drop shipped from BOGOTA, COLUMBIA and held up at customs ... or whatever. I had no idea this is how they fulfill orders. I had to scramble with another florist to save my occasion and I got a full refund. Never again.
I wanted to highlight the great customer service I received by Christopher. I had ordered flowers for my sister’s birthday and the arrangement did not meet my expectations. I reached out to the store and Christopher immediately wanted to rectify the issue. He sent me some options and created a new arrangement for me. To ensure I was happy with the new arrangement, he sent a picture before the arrangement was redelivered. My sister was really happy with the arrangement and we will definitely order from here again!
Stopped by the counter at Whole Foods today and had such a lovely experience and incredible customer service from Zun, the store manager. She made a beautiful bouquet for my mom’s birthday and was so helpful and informative about the different bouquet/arrangement options available. She was also so kind about accommodating the different specifications and requests I had for the bouquet. As someone who has been on the hunt for a quality florist + positive customer experience in SF, I’ll definitely be coming back to Bouq for Zun’s help with my future floral needs! Thanks so much!
