Safeway

It sucked. Got to the area and we're going to stock up before checking in a hotel. Gathered a few items and headed to checkout. I had alcohol and could not go through self-checkout. There was only one checkout open with the line of at least 20 people. Completely ridiculous. Left my cart with its items in the aisle and went to a different store

Only place I can go buy a pink pineapple at 1 am, oh plus the bathrooms here are clean and open 24/7. Helps when your traveling, it's an all in one pit stop. There's Groceries, Gas, Bathrooms and Food to stock up on, premade and fresh.

Claudia from the deli was very kind an helpful with a Thanksgiving Ham order for my sister Toni. She had to pass me on to Samantha to assist me with payment since I live 5 hours away. Samantha tried countless times to process the payment which is a separate process from regular online orders with no results. She even went to the pharmacy department to see if she could process there...with no luck. She finally suggested purchasing a gift card and she was able to scan the code from a photo I sent. She went way beyond the call of duty. Thank you so much for making my sisters Thanksgiving a real treat.

Liked this Safeway. Building looks nice, well organized aisles, good produce, plenty of departments to get your grocery items, well stocked, and convenient from the town. Their in-store made stuff at the front of the store made by Boar’s Head looked great as well. Worth a stop for groceries!

I like to shop at Safeway, and the one in South Lake Tahoe is no exception. It is only a few blocks from the campground where I usually camp. The store is very easy to navigate, and most of the items I'm looking for are in stock. The workers are friendly, and they have a huge parking lot so that I can easily park my truck.
