Extremely disappointed with our experience at River Walk Florist. What we ordered looked *nothing* like what was delivered. We purchased a candy bouquet for someone who had just given birth—literally 7 hours prior—and what showed up looked like a last-minute DIY project, not the $75 arrangement we paid for. When we called to express our concern, we were told they could "go pick it up, redo it, and bring it back." Think about how awkward and inappropriate that would be—taking a gift back from someone who just had a baby? Completely tone-deaf. To make matters worse, the person on the phone told us not to leave a 1-star review just because they offered to fix it. That’s not how good customer service works. Instead of owning the mistake and offering a refund, they doubled down by saying they gave us *more* candy than advertised—as if that made up for the sloppy presentation. Honestly, I could’ve bought 8 pieces of candy myself and made something that looked 10x better. Bottom line: we didn’t get what we paid for, and their response made it worse. Would not recommend. *** reply to her response below... Thank you for your response. Since you wanted to discuss the details, let's go ahead and clarify a few things. The total cost of the arrangement was $75, which included product, delivery, and taxes. I'm more than happy to provide a copy of the receipt if needed. Now, regarding the phone conversation — the tone used came across as passive-aggressive, especially when our comments about the candy being tossed into the basket were exaggerated and dismissed. Furthermore, your claim of being unaware of how your employees assembled the basket raises concerns about internal oversight. Telling a customer not to leave a one-star review is inappropriate and, frankly, unprofessional. That sort of request suggests this isn't the first time an issue like this has come up, which is troubling in itself. For the record, we never asked for a refund or even hinted at one — but that’s exactly what should have been offered if customer satisfaction was a priority. The gift was already delivered, the moment had already passed, and the presentation — which we trusted your business to handle — was ruined. At that point, there were no other options to consider. The damage was done. To be honest, I wouldn't want a replacement or second attempt. After this experience, I have no confidence that it would be done any better. This was a simple expectation: a product and service purchased through your website, and it wasn’t delivered as advertised. That’s not a customer issue — that’s a company issue. You may want to review some of the other feedback your business has received. We're clearly not the first people to have this kind of experience. Hopefully, the next customer gets what they paid for and isn’t left disappointed. Thanks.
I received flowers as a gift, for which I promptly sent a thank you note, along with a picture of the flowers that I received to the individual that gifted them to me. Apparently the sender complained to 1-800 flowers that the arrangement looked completely different than what they ordered and was given a refund. Next thing I know, I get blind sided with extremely unprofessional texts from River Walk Florist. Before I even get a chance to reply, one of the messages states "If the flowers are not left on the porch, we will call the police and proceed with filing a small claim for theft." I never had an issue returning the flowers. However, the way that this florist decided to handle the situation was completely unprofessional and irrational. Immediately threating me with court before I even got a chance to reply. This is by far THE worst experience I've ever had with a company. ZERO STARS
I strongly recommend avoiding this service unless you're picking up your order in person. My mother ordered flowers for my partner through FTD, and what was delivered looked nothing like what was purchased. After submitting a complaint to FTD, I was bombarded with early-morning calls stating they would redeliver—*but only if the incorrect arrangement was returned*. When the driver arrived, they were incredibly rude and acted as if I was trying to scam them. I handed over the incorrect arrangement, so also be aware you may be getting pre-owned flowers. Unfortunately, even the replacement was disappointing. Comparing what was ordered to what was received, it’s clear there was a significant downgrade. After reading other reviews, it seems this is a common issue—online orders often result in something far inferior to what was advertised. It feels intentional, relying on the assumption that the recipient won’t show the sender what actually arrived. Even after the correction, the arrangement was embarrassing compared to what was paid for. The premium order was supposed to be approximately 13”x17”, but what arrived measured only 11”x11”—and that’s being generous, including the cheap filler greenery that wasn’t even part of the original design. Despite paying for the premium version, this wouldn’t even pass as a standard arrangement. I would not recommend ordering online from FTD, I cannot speak to their website orders, or is this is isolated to orders from the large companies. As someone new to Louisville, I will look elsewhere for a florist.
Amazing flowers and friendly service! Sadie created gorgeous flower centerpieces for a 50th anniversary celebration. She designed everything with the occasion in mind and was super communicative throughout the process. I am so grateful and flowers received non-stop compliments.
I ordered flowers online from River Walk Florist, expecting a beautiful arrangement like the one pictured on their website. Unfortunately, what was delivered looked nothing like the photo and appeared to be a much cheaper version of what I paid for. I should have read previous reviews as this seems like a common problem.
