Clean and large location and plenty of parking. They also had a robotic inventory machine traveling around. Overall really good experience! Shop Rite also tends to have better deals than stop and shop. Located in a plaza with a lot of retail shopping and a panera.
For years this was my number one go to grocery store. I have recently found out that they are using AI to scan your face and follow you around the store leading to dynamic pricing meaning that the prices for things are changing depending on how frequently you purchase them And now to top all of that off, they have made every single self checkout credit and debit only? This place was great for years and now has turned into the hell hole of the shops. I recommend if you don’t wanna have yourself, followed around the store by cameras or be able to shop in your own piece of mind you go literally any other grocery store that’s in Canton or Avon because ShopRite has become horrible
It get it technology is generally a good thing. But now at the Canton Shoprite they are pushing the use of "smart carts" . Some may like it but to me it's a example of less customer service. In the spirit of try something new my wife grabbed one. By the time we got thru one isle my blood pressure went up twenty points. Items we wanted to purchase didn't have bar codes, things rang up twice , our time shopping increased significantly . Maybe it's more a review against the "smart" carts as it is a review for Shop Rite but it's all part of my Shop Rite experience today.....I like good old fashion customer service the old way . I give two thumbs down for this new trend.
Stopped to buy some soup and ask for some help in self checkout. The girl was not very friendly and I felt like it was an inconvenience to help customers. This is not the first time I’ve had a bad experience at this store.
