Well, after reading other reviews on this page. It is appalling to see some rancid food still be sold on store shelves. Or have inadequate customer service, such as restock chit chatter. Or argumentive cashiers, who mistakenly overcharge their customers. But what's my personal "pet peeve" with this location? I say that due to there being a pet store, in Putnam Plaza. Now that's saying something, that a supermarket is worse than animal behavior. Now before you all decide to steer towards other branches, as some of you typed earlier. I've been to some of them already, such as Port Chester. Thumbs 👎, due to their own problems. Especially regarding "weather conditions" & "public behavior". But I did receive requests, in regards to Connecticut branches. Are they any better? From what I've seen here at Greenwich, It's bad for sure. But what about in the weather category? They don't break the "rain code" as badly here, but it still happens. Either doing it in shallow rain 🌧, like on 01/10/26. (Some people did get sick that day). Or leaving corals full in dense blizzards, like on 01/17/26. (To be fair, what could they have done?). Now what's that, & why does it matter? It's a health code ordinance from the state & county health departments. Yes, Connecticut has it just as much as New York does. I know this, because a Human Resource official specifically said so "this decade". Yes, they were from Connecticut specifically! But they also traveled to New York & New Jersey branches. They were especially Uptight that this policy be enforced!! What's the big deal? A team member "of any position" who works outside "at all", "must" wear/use proper protective attire/gear ⚙️. If they're soaking wet, they "must" change their coats & clothes "no matter what!". Otherwise they'll get sick, & get the floors wet. Now why does this policy bother me, & should bother you? Because do you like being called disease ridden? Do you like bringing in extra pairs of clothes to work, "everyday"?! Especially changing multiple times in one shift?! Do you like coming to work on a rain or snow day, under these conditions? Especially if you drive, & you might crash or drown your car?! Do you like being told to leave your umbrellas 🌂 outside? (Yes, including customers). Do you like getting threatened or mocked by the team, for this policy alone?! Especially if other teams members don't follow it?! Do you wanna see them use their machines in bad weather, which aren't waterproof?! In front of your car?! Can a customer sue the company for such policy violations? Yes they could, which brings up the next topic. Did Whole Foods get sued recently? Yes they did, at least twice in the last 5 years. Accidental Mishaps, & Mishandling Employee Wages over a 10 year period!
girl who hasn’t stopped wearing a mask since the pandemic needs a serious attitude adjustment. absolutely absurd that she hasn’t been fired yet. constantly miserable and projects it towards customers who try to be polite with her.
I go to this store a few times a week, and generally have a very good experience (less the parking lot). This week, right before closing, I asked Eli from the seafood department to check if they had something in stock that wasn't out in the display. He went out of his way to check in the back, and although they were out, he told me I could call and ask for him and he would try his best to get it for me- rare these days to have someone go so out of their way to help, I thought I would leave a positive review.
Small and congested but sufficiently functional as minimally expected
Store is tiny and employees pretend to stock shelves just to talk to each other, give attitude if you say excuse me, but mostly they are in the way while I try to shop. They always stock the shelves during lunch time (12-1) which is strange because the store is busy and there are slow times when the store is open. Don’t get me started on the parking lot and the food quality that has been consistently going down… One thing I’ve recently noticed is items being replaced with more expensive versions with no other options to generate more revenue. I try not to shop here.
