Stop & Shop

I had to jump through hoops to BUY a low dollar amount money order 🤦‍♂️ I literally had to go through 2 levels of store management and being interrogated before I was allowed to BUY the money order 🤦‍♂️ I told the store manager he could have asked me for an I.D. instead of interrogating me in front of other customers. Stop & Shop as a whole stopped selling a fish that I often purchased from them and it was a popular fish 🤦‍♂️ I was able to find it at Big Y and as I was telling the person working in the seafood department at Big Y about Stop & Shop stopped selling the fish, another customer overheard me and started telling me about her experience at Stop & Shop and how they discontinued selling the meat that she likes to buy from the deli 🤦‍♂️Most of the items "on sale" at Stop & Shop are the everyday prices of other grocery stores 🤦‍♂️ Horrible management 🤦‍♂️

Lost my wallet near the entrance and didn't realize until I got home, went back was told nicely by one of the associates there they found it it's just in a lock box, had to wait for the manager to come, and 5 6 minutes later he shows up pressing me who it belongs to. I tell him me and my name at least 5 times,he then disappears to the office, comes back tells me there's no id into and asks what's in it and what type it was. I pull out my id and then he chuckles Oh I didn't check there, and then says you're welcome. There's no reason to be arrogant like that, that's how you lose customers. The employees were great but he was nasty.

Horrible store. Weird smell in store as you walk in . The bathroom is gross, nasty, wouldn't even use it. Safer to pee outside. Keep in mind this is what the customer can see, what about what you can't see. No pride maybe just doesn't care. Shame on the store manager. Use caution when buying from the bakery, produce dept, or the meat dept. Good luck to the consumers

Bakery- called today to ask about ordering 24 cup cakes with paw patrol rings put on them. They told me they can do it and the price. I drove down there to place the order…. I get there and the lady says they don’t have paw patrol rings… I said I called right before coming down.. she said idk who you talked to but we don’t.. so I said I called and was informed that you have the rings to place the order… then she says we have the rings but its only for a 24 cupcake cake…. What sense does that make!… you can’t put the rings on the 24 cup cakes but can do it for the 24 cupcake cake.. waste of my time

Quality Stop & Shop location, they maintain a good selection and the people working here are helpful. Also a safe place to shop, though you’ll likely get asked for some money and/or food on your way out. The self-checkout line gets held up at times, but for the most part moves along swimmingly; apart from those things, an overall decent place to bag some groceries.
