I just went in there to see if they can offer a refund or an exchange for a sonny angel (hipper) I bought less than a week ago (four days ago) since the head broke off. I’ve had hippers for months on the back of my phone before the head came off. Anyway the worker who helped me was so rude and dismissive and said she couldn’t offer a refund which is fine if it’s against policy but again no need to be rude about it. Some white women with blue hair and superiority complex…. Very odd behavior

I have never reported a store employee for anything in my life, but my experience at this store was so troubling that I felt the need to report this employee’s behavior. There is a supervisor/manager that has been extremely rude, unprofessional and threatened to refuse me service because I was returning defective/damaged product. I showed the damage to the supervisor and explained the situation. She completely blew up at me and accused me of lying several times. She raised her voice and was very upset. I asked her several times if I had done anything wrong or if this was against the store policy, she yelled at me to read the receipt. Then she admitted that the product was damaged, she processed the return for the items and said "now we are on the same page". She then told me I am never to do this again and she started being very patronizing to me. Saying things like “I sure hope you get home safe. It’s really icy out there so I wouldn’t want anything to happen to you.” I no longer wish to return to this store in the future, which is a bummer because the store is great. No complaints on the actual store or other employees. Just the one supervisor/manager. I reached out through the corporate website to file a complaint on this employee. They asked for my receipt, which I provided and then they ghosted me for over a month. Based on the experience at the store and the customer service response, I am giving 3 stars.

I used to love Newbury, but this place has kind of gone downhill lately. At some point in the past couple years the A/C broke and they just never bothered to fix it, so going in here in the summer is like stepping into a sauna. They also used to have the light novels on a separate shelf and now they're mixed in with the manga which is really annoying.

I love this place! It is like they made it just to fit my goofy personality. The even have the biggest "new" record selection around. yes you read that brand new new never been used records! I could easily go bankrupt in shopping trip on this store.

Excellent selection across various media. I was super stoked to come across a record here I had been looking for. Love it!
