Working with Hana Floral Design was truly one of the highlights of our wedding planning experience. From the very beginning, working with Yumiko was an absolute dream — thoughtful, kind, and incredibly talented. She has such a beautiful eye and an intuitive ability to understand not just what you’re asking for, but the feeling you want to create. The florals on our wedding day were beyond anything we could have imagined. Every arrangement felt intentional, artful, and perfectly suited to us. Yumiko’s designs elevated the entire space and brought so much warmth, beauty, and life to the day — we are still getting compliments on them. Just as special as the florals themselves was the experience of working with Yumiko. She made the process feel calm, collaborative, and genuinely joyful, and we always felt so cared for along the way. Dear Yumiko and the entire Hana Floral team, As I’m rounding out 2025, I keep finding myself back in August—back in the feeling of our wedding day—and so much of what I remember most vividly is the beauty you created. I booked Hana Floral about a year and a half before the wedding, after seeing your artistry on Instagram. I was instantly blown away by the creativity, the obvious depth of knowledge you have about flowers, and the way your arrangements felt both elevated and uniquely “you.” Even then, I could tell you weren’t just designing florals—you were building an atmosphere. Over the long 1.5 years of planning, you were steady, thoughtful, and incredibly communicative. Yumiko, you met with me (and my family) multiple times to fine-tune every detail and truly understand my vision. I felt heard and cared for at every step. And then, on the wedding day, you delivered something beyond what I could have imagined. It wasn’t just beautiful—it was magic. And the photos captured by the incredible Maggie Conley truly speak for themselves. Every frame feels like proof of what you brought to life: artistry, intention, and a sense of wonder that elevated the entire day. This is my ode and love letter to your team—because what you do matters. You turned a space into a dream, and you brought beauty to one of the most meaningful days of my life. Before I’d even met my now husband, I had admired the work that the Hana team does and knew that one day I needed to work with them for my wedding. I wasn’t someone who dreamt of all the details of my future wedding but all I knew is there would be a major floral moment. Fast forward many years later and they delivered on all my garden party wedding dreams. With “flowers” as a top word people would describe me, we both knew we’d be leaning heavily into the floral aesthetic for our big day. From my first call with Yumiko, to our design meetings and then the day of, she and her team were a dream to work with, listening to our vision, likes and dislikes and making tweaks throughout to create the most gorgeous florals and all within our budget. It POURED throughout our wedding so the pretty garden we had hoped to have our ceremony in was obviously off limits, but the team “brought the garden inside” and transformed a completely empty indoor space. Our guests still can’t stop talking about the flowers. The artistry and craftsmanship of the Hana team was everything I’d hoped for and we cannot recommend them enough for any event.

I LOVED working with Yumiko for my wedding! I guess I would say I had some specific requests with how I wanted my tent to look (flowers in front of the stage, tall arrangements on certain tables & not others, greenery around the entrance of the tent, etc. ) and I knew my color scheme, but I did not have a great grasp of what type of flowers would work best for what I envisioned - so I put my trust completely in her team on that aspect. I had sent her some inspiration pictures early on in the process, but I actually got the chance to sit down with her in NYC to walk through my vision. She took the time to walk through every detail with me to make sure she was on the same page. I walked away from our meeting feeling SO confident that she understood my vision. The day of the wedding when I first saw my bouquet (before seeing the tent) I was so happy with the final product. They were a work of art. But when I saw my tent for the first time, thats when I was truly blown away. Yumiko and her team hit the nail on the head with every single aspect. Not one complaint. The quality of the flowers were insane I just wanted to bring them all home with me! All of my guests were so impressed with the whole set up, and the tent wouldn’t have had the same feel without these spectacular flowers! If flowers are a main focal point for your wedding, I would 100% hire Hana!
