Aldi is a great alternative to save your money ... this New Britain location does not have a self checkout like the one in Southington - it's in the Epicure Shopping Center, a little strip mall that has a Game Stop, C & S Dental, Farmingdale liquors, Family Dollar, Extra Space Storage & a Town & Country Pizza Restaurant.
Shop here all the time. Beginning of December. Celery was .95 a bundle. Not in January is 1.95. Wow price gouge. I live on veggies. Now can’t have celery. My budget is 160 a month for groceries. That is all I have in my budget for good food !!! You’re going to add.90!cents to my celery !!!! I buy chicken where is it .99 a pound. To father celery and onion etc from Aldi for wraps. But I don’t usually buy meat here because of price and quality Veggies used to be affordable. But when Thunder certain items are selling they adjust the price. Bs. Keep it low you will get the customers to repeat sales I find the. Bathrooms are clean. Store is clean and bright and supplies are ready available. Fun isles are fun and in season. And mostly cheaper than other places But watch the prices. They see what sells and then raise the prices when you least expect it

Manager Ricardo is very rude. He was upset because someone from his team marked meats 50 percent off. He refused to sell me 2 packs of meat marked 50 percent off. Which I’m pretty sure is illegal. Then told me to call corporate and tell them his name is Ricardo and he’s the manager. Then there’s no phone number to corporation the receipt, after he was like “the number is on your receipt”. How are you the manager and you don’t know what information is on the receipt?
Very arrogant cashier - I was in line and proceeded to prepay when scolded by her:”now why would you do that? I didn’t know the gentleman before me hadn’t paid yet ($17.72) …she continued on how she had to refund and checkout out his five items again …. There was no need to yell and embarrass, especially after I politely apologized…she just wouldn’t let it go and canned me “silly”.. never thought I would complain at a place I shop at 3x a week
