Everything is good here except the deli here. It is not well managed has rude service, deli has ordering options like ordering online and they do not check it so what's the point. It's also odd a friend called and I came I. And both separate individuals said there was no order then later on they are like oh yeah the order is here after being told that someone needs to talk to the manager. The most ridiculous scenario ever witnessed in a Publix.
This is the Publix I've been going to for the last 25 years, and well, I don't go very often anymore. This issue is not specific to this location, but it's just incredibly overpriced. Only items I can buy at reasonable prices are on sale. (When compared to Aldi, Trader Joe's, Walmart, etc). The 3 stars for my review go entirely to the staff at this location, as the store itself is remarkably average, including its deli, bakery, produce section. There's no single thing that makes this a "good" Publix. The only positives I've experienced there over the years have been some interactions with some of the kind employees.
My complaint is not about the deli counter employee, but instead the management who left him by himself to struggle through getting peoples orders. He was polite and I could see him wanting to give good service, but he was not ready to be cutting meats for people alone yet. Management should be able to pick up on that, but it is evident that they are not paying attention. And the guy shouldn’t get in trouble for it either, if someone needs more training then you should be there with them training them while they’re doing their job so they have a better understanding of it. Shame on you, Publix Management! First of all, I had to wait 15 minutes just to get to the point where I was having service. Then he couldn’t find the particular lunch meat that I needed. He did ask around and do his best. By the time he got to cutting it I could see that the rapper was still halfway on what he was cutting. Now I’m left with a pound of ham with plastic in it! While the heiress of the Publix fortune is languishing in her lifestyle, people like me are facing prices at Publix that are astronomical! And yet, you can’t even function properly to train people professionally, or have Management standing by because you don’t want to spend the money. I wonder if the heiress of the Publix fortune has to think about spending money. I know I have to think about spending money, while also now having plastic in my ham and running late for my day because you don’t want to put any more than one untrained person behind the deli counter! I’m disgusted with Publix and the constant price hikes without proper service or management to make sure that I’m getting what I’m paying three times more for today. It’s a good thing I get to self-check myself out if I have 10 items or less. All that money Publix is saving can buy another blood diamond for the queen of Publix herself. And one last thing… Don’t think it’s been lost on me that you are now thinking it’s a sale when we have to buy 2 and get one free. Unbelievable. I’m going back to eating my ham sandwich and trying to fish out the plastic now.
24 years in SoFl and Now love this Public bc of Kinyetta! She is the bomb and expedited getting through the cash registers. It was a Friday and rush hour at this Publix. I was standing in line when she yelled out that she could take anyone at customer service because the lines were backed up. Most employees just want to stand there and twiddle their thumbs while they watch other people struggle. I asked her if she was management bc she actually cares about the people shopping here. She said hopefully sometime soon! Seems as if the rest of the staff respects her as well as they were asking her what to do.
