I was visiting the area and came across this Publix as a complete stranger. After 3 days in the neighborhood, I left a friend. One of the friendliest stores I've ever seen
Publix Super Market at Argyle Village Attention, Bavarian pretzel enthusiasts — this Publix is currently testing a giant pretzel, and it’s absolutely worth trying! I was lucky enough to get one (I wanted five). It was perfectly baked, soft inside, and had that classic Bavarian flavor. Beyond the pretzel, the bakery offers plenty of other great treats, and the meat and seafood selection—especially the shrimp on sale—was impressive. All in all, this Publix continues to deliver great products, friendly service, and a few pleasant surprises from the bakery. go to your local Publix and ask for one or two
I always shop at this Publix. I can always find exactly what I need. The employees are very helpful and friendly. You will find some of the managers walking the aisle sometimes asking if you're ok and did you find what you needed. One of the Managers Michael, whom, I'm most familiar with, all ways is friendly with a smile. For some reason he will end up checking me out and then will offer to help me with my groceries. Even if it's 3 bags or 10. I'm handicapped with limited use of one arm. The fact that as a manager he will run the register, It's not because their short on staff or the lines are long. He just likes to interact with the customers. Publix is a little higher, but worth it. My only complaint is purchasing something that is going to expire within 1-2 days, from bakery and refrigerated deli items. If, you want that item and no other soon expired same items aren't available then ? I recently purchased some cornbread that was going to expire the next day, within 3 days it started molding, I had to throw it out before using it. In my opinion if an item is going to expire within a day, they should mark it down. Because customers take a chance and buy it, or I guess that they just discard it. Which is a waste, there are to many people going hungry. I don't like to waste food or throw it out. Other than that, I would recommend this Publix 💯. Cleaness, freshness, friendly, helpful. Everyone is treated with respect. I will only ever shop Publix even when oot in Orlando. 👍
Let me just say — whoever is responsible for slicing and packaging the pre-sliced deli meat deserves a round of applause. The presentation is absolutely on point! Every slice is uniform, cleanly stacked, and easy to peel apart without turning into a mangled mess (looking at you, lesser brands 👀). It’s the little details that elevate the sandwich-making experience, and this packaging delivers every time. Major props to the team behind this — you clearly take pride in your craft!
Today I rate this store I don’t like to do bad ratings. Today I called the pharmacy to check on a prescription around 5:30pm on 11/24 I was hung up on rudely by the pharmacist after asking about my prescription. I went in got my prescription shortly after. I asked for a store manager to express my concerns. The store manager looked at me with a smirk and smiled he stated “ Well why did he hang up on you” I simply said I don’t know why. The look he gave me as if I did something wrong. I just said thank you and walked away to the back of the store to get the cheese items I needed. As I was getting my items I look behind me and see the same store manger walking by the opposite end of the store where he can see me. Then about a few mins later I look to my right at the other end he is standing there where he can see me. Next thing I know the officer that works the store for JSO walks by me. At this point I’m seriously uncomfortable I called my mom at some point and asked her to stay in the phone with me until I got the items I needed. I was never a threat to this store and to be treated this way really hurt me. I am in tears as I write this. When I got in my car I cried because I felt treated differently. What hurts even more the officer on duty knew I did nothing wrong he was at the front near us as I spoke with the manager before proceeding to the back of the store. My feels are truly hurt to be followed around the store as if I did something wrong. All cameras can be rolled back to see I did nothing even when I went to the pharmacy I just expressed respectful to the cashier that I was hung up on by the pharmacist on duty. We are all people and no one should be treated different because of gender, color, disability, age or any type of profiled against . At this point I just pray for better but I’m truly hurt by today at Publix in Argyle Yongerman Circle which is my closer neighborhood store . I’ll never go back to this location again. Not even for my prescriptions I’ll go else where to get them transferred to another location.
