Publix is always great! Staff is super helpful and friendly, and the store’s clean and organized, easy to find what you need. They’ve got more variety than most places too. Only thing is the side entrance and crosswalk can be a bit of a hassle, but overall, awesome store and great people!
The staff here are extremely nice and helpful. They provide s great customer experience. You are guaranteed to come across somebody and probably several people. Now, we'll greet you with a smile and ask if you need help. Very refreshing. Publix is the Chik fila of grocery stores. Their fruit is always fresh. And the staff are willing to accommodate special requests. The only thing I don't like is that they never have single slices of the yellow cake. With chocolate ice cream period l o, l, but of course, that's no one's fault period they get five stars from me.
I arrived at 9:59 p.m. and the store would close at 10. First, I was shocked they let me in. The manager was locking the doors as I walked up. Not only did he allow me to shop, but he and his staff were kind about it. I only needed three items, but when it's time to get out of work, we are all ready to go... lol I did note that the store was very neat, clean, and smelled fresh. The staff was restocking the shelves, the produce area, and the meat department. It was cool to see what happens after closing. The cashier didn't seem bothered when I completed my sale either. He wished me a great evening and the guy who bagged my items said, "Have a blessed vacation!" That was the icing on the cake for me. It was a sweet experience.
Heads up for the guest services manager- I would rethink who you are letting work behind the customer service counter. Came in today, got three items, went to the customer service counter because all of the lines were so long. I usually would just wait, but I was in a bit of a hurry. Walked up to the counter, there was a boy in a grey sweater standing beside another cashier who was counting his drawer. I asked the boy in the grey if his drawer was open, he ignored me. I repeated my question, he ignored me again. Another boy standing in the background had to inform him that he had a customer. His demeanor changed immediately. Went from joking around and laughing with his buddy, to annoyed and seemingly pissed that he had to ring up my three items. He rang me up, wouldn’t make eye contact, rude sounding tone to his voice. I pay, my receipt prints out and he crumples it up in his hand and shoves his hand out for me to take it, still not making any eye contact with that annoyed expression all over his face. I told him I didn’t need a receipt and he rolled his eyes and said “okayyyy….” As someone who has worked in the customer service industry for well over a decade, even as a customer service manager for the fresh market, I’m not one to hold back when I’m treated poorly. I told him he had a bad attitude, and he gave me a cocky grin and said “I don’t think so” He absolutely does and I’m sure I’m not the first customer he’s copped an attitude with for no reason. If he doesn’t want to interact with people then he shouldn’t be in this line of work. Seems like he’s there to hang out and collect a pay check. God forbid he has to do his actual job, what an inconvenience!
My spouse and I went to Publix this morning and went to the deli department as we always do. Jackie is absolutely phenomenal. Thank you Publix for everything that you do and thank you for hiring someone like Jackie.. She actually cares about your customers and she loves her job. She is one in 1 million.. thank you, Jackie for everything that you do
