Publix Roosevelt is SUPURB! 5 STARS+++ Today at 2:30, at self-check-out, the Publix lady helped weigh & scan my produce; went to the aisle & found garlic salt I could not find; helped scan & bag 4 bags; ... & chased me with a bag that I had forgotten to carry out! NO store has ever had a better; more thoughtful; more helpful employee than that lady today!! Dr. R. Lipsey Ortega Forest Dr.
Today my husband and I bought subs online and the order ended up being wrong. To be honest, the last 3 times we’ve purchased subs the order wasn’t correct but I never said anything about it until today. Perhaps I called at a busy time when I made contact with Linda in the prepared foods department because I could sense her frustration even though I was cool about the situation. I was told if I wanted a refund to contact customer service and at that point I decided not to pursue it anymore. The $22 dollars wasn’t worth another call and I wasn’t going to be ordering subs from publix anymore and intended to leave it alone. Then I received a call back from Linda at Publix unexpectedly and she was very intense saying they pulled my order and wanted to read it back to me, saying neither sub called for mayo (that was 1 of a couple things missing from the order) I looked at my receipt that they put on the subs for pickup and as you can see it clearly shows Mayo. It also called for 5 grain bread and I received white. Linda was partly right though. My husband’s sandwich did not reflect the order we placed together that I double checked before hitting submit online making me wonder if it was a system error. Nevertheless, the order was still wrong, or at least mine was and I honestly didn’t appreciate the intensity of the return call. Linda put someone else on the phone and she told me to bring back the sandwiches which I told Linda on the first call that wasn’t possible as I was getting ready for work. Long story short, we won’t be back for anything.
Ever since The Manager "Jerry" retired, this store has really declined in customer service . I was just in this store to purchase my supper for the night at the deli. The boy that was making sandwiches must have been new to the company, he took 20 minutes to make two identical sandwiches, so I decide to do some other shopping first, and I came back. And he had just got finished making those same two sandwiches, starting a lady's sandwich. And he couldn't even figure out how to build the sandwich wrap that he was making for this lady. Mind you now, this was at their busy time of the day around 4:45pm To 5:15pm. Wouldnt you think that they would have more people making sandwiches at that time of day? Then another boy came to work and took his sweet time to prep his hands with plastic gloves, finally ask me what I wanted so I proceeded to tell him and then he acted like he didn't hear me so I repeated myself. And still acted like he couldn't hear me. So I decided to talk to the manager. I am very disappointed in this store. This PUBLIX IS NOT WHERE SHOPPING IS A PLEASURE! I GUESS I AM GOING TO HAVE TO START LIKING WINN DIXIE CRAP. BECAUSE PUBLIX ISNT VERY PLEASURABLE AT ALL.
The Roosevelt store, number 641 is very, very busy. The deli department can barely keep up with the subs, dinners, soups, and everything else in deli. I order subs probably twice a week from Publix and their fried chicken dark one time and the wings one time per week. Today October 5, 2025 was a whole different experience. It began with Samantha, I believe she’s ahead of some department or maybe an assistant manager: She was wonderful. Did not have to repeat the order: I had the Italian on sale for $7.99 and the 20 piece breaded hot and spicy wings for $14.99. Samantha had complete control of the conversation and just kept saying yes, sir, which was very nice. Samantha needs a pat on the back. Kudos among her peers.Brad Todd your general manager(Who also does a fantastic job).can at the Roosevelt Store take her for lunch. This was the best experience I’ve had from Publix deli Excellent!!!
The only reason I go to Publix is for the deli, produce and bakery. The deli at this location consistently has an empty pre-sliced case, the deli employees are more interested in gossiping openly than they are just focusing on the work while there’s a ridiculous line of people waiting angrily. The chicken is usually well stocked, but the people cooking it and stocking it are miserable. The produce has to be sorted through thoroughly to make sure I’m not getting something moldy. At least they’re rotating, but still putting the moldy produce out on the floor??? The bakery is the only department I visit that actually seems to be ran well. The cakes are always really well decorated, very creative! The staff in that department is friendly as well!
