I went to this Publix with my little kid, who was excited to get a cookie from the bakery. Unfortunately, they were out of kids’ cookies, even though the display had plenty of cookies for sale. When I politely asked the associate if my child could have just one cookie, first she ignored us, I had to repeat myself 3 times and finally the response was rude and dismissive, “We're out, don't you see that.” Both my child and I were disappointed, and we ended up driving to Winn-Dixie instead. I’ve always associated Publix with great customer service, but this experience was very disappointing. Shopping here definitely was not a pleasure.
I was in Publix this morning about 15 minutes ago and witnessed an uncomfortable situation in the produce section. A woman, who appeared to be an employee in her mid 30s, was loudly yelling at a younger Hispanic employee who also works in produce. The young man remained calm and said nothing, even turning away to avoid conflict, but she continued to raise her voice and use unprofessional language that everyone in the area could hear. This kind of behavior is completely inappropriate in a professional setting and made me feel very uncomfortable as a customer. If employees are being spoken to like that by their coworkers, it raises concerns about how customers might be treated as well. I truly hope management looks into this and ensures that all employees are treated and behave with respect in the workplace.
I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with this Publix location. Unfortunately, it has consistently delivered the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered at any Publix. Every visit is met with rude and unhelpful staff who seem irritated by basic questions or requests. The store is frequently out of stock on everyday items, and there’s little effort made to assist or provide alternatives. It’s disappointing to feel so unappreciated as a customer. I’ve always associated Publix with excellent service, but this location is a major exception. Definitely the worst Publix I’ve been to.
The worst Publix ever. This location is basically across the street from me so I would go there out of convenience, have been for 16 years now. Now I've had enough. Deli is mismanaged with poor attitudes, slow service, and sloppy work. The perishables seem to always be very close to the date they should be discarded. I've seen items past their date many times. The final straw was yesterday when I was about to buy a dozen eggs but the sell by date was a WEEK prior. I pointed it out to a manager who couldn't have cared less, even saying "well, thats just the sell by date". Again, this should have been removed from the shelf a FULL WEEK earlier. Standards are way too low at this location. I'm not going back and you should BEWARE or better yet, spend your money somewhere else.
This store is always clean, well-organized, and easy to shop in. The employees are super friendly and helpful every time I visit. The produce is fresh, the bakery smells amazing, and checkout is always smooth. I really appreciate how the staff goes out of their way to make customers feel welcome. Another great experience at Publix—this is why it’s my go-to grocery store!
