I used to love getting sushi at this Publix until they got a new sushi chef a while back. Rude older man with an attitude and to top it off, the sushi is always rotten lately. Green and gray spots on the tuna. I brought this concern to the sushi chef, to management and to customer service. Was anything done? See for yourself
Great store. Prices I can’t afford. This is the price for one extra large box of Frosted Flakes. This cereal used to cost a dollar when I was a kid.
I have been shopping at this Publix in Loxahatchee for over two years, and unfortunately, the store has not improved at all. It is the closest Publix to my home, so I don’t really have other options, but every visit is disappointing. The produce section is consistently terrible. The oranges are often moldy, green, and visibly rotting right on display. I have also purchased expired products more than once and had to go back to return them, which is very inconvenient. For the prices Publix charges, the quality should be much higher. The carts are in awful condition—rusted, chipped, broken, with sharp metal sticking out—which is especially unsafe for families with young children like mine. The deli is another big issue. Every time I try to order a sub, the wait is extremely long even when there’s no line. Just today, it took over 20 minutes for three employees to figure out how to make a simple Cordon Bleu sandwich. Meanwhile, I had to hold my restless baby the whole time. To make things worse, I saw flies hovering over the bread they use for subs, right above the salads and meats on display. That was absolutely disgusting. On top of that, the managers and cashiers are unfriendly and unhelpful, and overall the service is very poor. The combination of overpriced items, spoiled produce, unsafe carts, and unsanitary conditions in the deli makes this store very disappointing. Publix advertises itself as offering quality and great service, but this location is far from that. I really hope corporate takes a closer look at this store, because the way it is run right now is unacceptable.
I wanted to take a moment to say this store has super friendly associates up front and it’s my favorite Publix hands down. Every time I go in there I’m greeted by the people selling lotto, then the cashiers are great about telling me about sale items, especially if I am missing the second half of the deal if I got a item that is buy 1 get 1 free. The kids bagging are also very helpful and friendly, it’s like a big family. The manager up front Nicole, is also a great example. Her friendly demeanor and willingness to help truly sets a standard that others should aspire to. She use to work at the Wellington store years ago and since I found out she was back out at Loxahatchee Groves, I’m back shopping there. It's always a pleasure interacting with Nicole and her team. I hope more people can learn from her exceptional example! Such a great manager, Keep shining!
Publix is always clean, well-organized, and fully stocked with fresh products. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the customer service is excellent. One of my favorite places to shop!
