I ordered flowers through DoorDash, and the estimated delivery time was about an hour and a half. The app showed the delivery was running over an hour late, and then suddenly marked it as “complete” but nothing had actually been delivered. I contacted DoorDash right away and learned that the florist handles their own deliveries. I submitted an inquiry and was quickly issued a refund. However, to my surprise, the arrangement was delivered a full day later—at 11:45 PM, which is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Delivering anything that late, especially flowers, is incredibly inappropriate. I appreciate the quick refund, but the entire experience was frustrating and disappointing.
Flowers look beautiful online but unfortunately after over an hour of trying to place an order online, I had to go to a different store to order. I hope they work on their website to avoid this in the future.
Flowers were delivered to the hospital on Tuesday, it was an ok arrangement. On Wednesday morning the 2 Hydrangeas were dead along with the Tea roses. Only a day old and the rest of the flowers were also dead on the 3rd day. Obviously the flowers were not fresh .I called the florist on Wednesday for them to be aware of the situation and the person answering the phone said he would have the manager call me. No call so I called again on Thursday he answered again put me on hold and hung up. I tried calling back and no one answered the phone. The florist shop is located in a storage unit off of Airport Pulling. DO NOT LET THE NAME PORT ROYAL LEAD YOU ONTO THINKING IT IS A FIRST CLASS FLORIST.
I ordered flowers on 7/28, which were delivered. I asked to spend around $75 & my card was charged $110. I have asked for an itemized receipt three times & have yet to receive anything. Imagine my surprise when today my debit card was charged an ADDITIONAL $137.80. I've tried calling 3 times this morning & no answer. Someone needs to contact me immediately!
UPDATE AFTER THE REVIEW!!! CAUTION!!!!!!!!! My wife called several times after our review was responded by the owners. The owners said to call back to work something out. My wife called 4 more times, and left voice mails each time and still haven't heard back. We believe the review got their attention and they tried to deflect their TERRIBLE service. My experience with Port Royal Florist was awful! We received a floral arrangement (my wife and me) after hosting a group of friends at our home for a long weekend. The floral arrangement arrived last Tuesday afternoon, Nov 18. The water in the vase was not very clear so it looked like it was sitting for some time, maybe in the delivery van? My wife called the following morning because several of the flowers were completely dead while others were turning brown at the ends of their blooms. She spoke to Ben, who answered the phone and said that he would give the manager the message to give my wife a call. My wife said she definitely wanted to speak to the manager. Well, a week has gone by without a single attempt to call or even a voice mail. We tried to contact FTD to lodge a complaint about Port Royal Florist but they were unable to take the complaint because we were uncertain which guest (there were 9 of them) had paid for the arrangement). We didn't want to ask our friends as they had made the purchase in good faith, expecting to get a beautiful arrangement delivered. I attempted to call Port Royal Florist again today, Nov 26 only to have no one answer the phone. I wanted to leave a voice mail, however, the recording said that the mailbox was FULL and there was no way for owner/manager of Port Royal Florist to call me back. Very disappointed in the arrangement and even more disappointed in the lack of customer service. I wanted to give them time to respond to my complaint before posting a review. That seems fair to allow the business to respond to a complaint before going public, but I think I gave them ample opportunity. DO NOT USE THEM!
