Wow. I don’t think I’ve ever been so embarrassed in front of so many people. I absolutely love Publix. I love the wide variety and the buy one get ones. That’s exactly why I came in today. I didn’t think we were gonna end up with so much in our buggy, which it was all disorganized so it looked like more than what we actually got. Me and my daughter walk to the first line and Immediately the cashier and the bagger started laughing at us. And started talking about needing another buggy and how much we had. Cashier also said she may have to get somebody else to check us out. Definitely wasn’t trying to hide the conversation. I get to the front of the line and I told them it looked like it was more than what they’re actually was and that I didn’t need another buggy But they got one anyways, which is fine. The woman did not greet me, and when I told her I didn’t need another buggy, she just stared at me. When she was done ringing everything up, she didn’t even give me my total. I just stood there and then finally asked if I was good to go ahead and pay for it While she gave me the “stare” Of how dare you make me work? I also had to initiate the have a good day. There were a couple other people behind us, so needless to say me and my daughter were completely embarrassed! I don’t think I’ll be able to step foot in that store again. Which really stinks because I love going in there. Shout out to the stocking staff, she was absolutely wonderful and so polite. I would give her five stars. And the cashier needs a little better customer service training. Or Work in the 10 items or less lane.
This location always has a great atmosphere, clean and organized with fresh produce and generally can count on having a good shopping experience with friendly and helpful service. The parking is far from ideal and is almost always backed up or hectic. I recommend going early or later in the day to avoid peak times.
This store is so poorly managed. During peak lunch and dinner hours their deli is usually out of rotisserie chicken and chicken tenders! The children working the front of the store are either on their phones or complaining about another person. The managers walk around like they have no clue which shows by the way the store operates. The only good part about the store is the produce and meat departments! It’s worth it to drive to 9th and Bayou to get a well run store! You end up having to go there anyway to get what this one doesn’t have available!
Just left the express line and had a pretty frustrating experience. The older lady at the register didn’t seem interested in helping at all. I told her I’m visiting from the West Coast and don’t have a customer number. Her response? “Just bypass it.” Cool—but how? There were no prompts, no cancel option, nothing. And I’m not clueless when it comes to tech. She barely responded to my questions and didn’t offer any guidance. Felt like she couldn’t be bothered. Honestly, the whole vibe was cold and transactional. Another customer ended up helping me finish the checkout. I don’t know what her deal was, but as a person of color, I couldn’t help but notice the difference in tone compared to how she treated others. Not saying it was intentional, but it didn’t sit right. Hope they take this as a heads-up to treat all customers with a little more care.
Not a fan of the Cramped Prkg Spots😔, but it's a really Awesome Publix in my East Hill Neighborhood. Team Members are always upbeat, polite & customer friendly🇺🇲👍. The restroom is always clean & the grocery aisles are well stocked-decisions, decisions, decisions😊, also like stopping in @ the Bakery & being assisted by Dorothy, Susie or Lexi. Check Out Cashiers & Baggers are just as FAST as an F1 Pit Crew😅👍. Thank You Publix Corp, Mgrs & ALL Team Members & Keep up the Good Work Ethics🇺🇲☘️🤝🇮🇪🙂
