Publix Super Market at Pompano Plaza

Came in today to get some subs. The single worst sub I’ve ever had. It was 11am and they didn’t have any onions (even though there’s some 15 feet away in the produce department) and the lettuce that was out was brown and probably left over from the night before. I spoke to the deli manager, and she politely offered to remake the sub, but at this point I’ve already been in the deli for 30 minutes and I just wanted some onions, so she bagged some up for me which I appreciated. When I got home, the cheese on the sub was not melted and the onions she gave me were not cut. I went out of my way to go to this Publix because the one on cypress sucks, now I’m thinking this one is just as bad. The deli needs HELP.

I have shopped here multiple times. It is a larger store and shares parking with Office Depot and soon with Crunch Fitness, where Marshall’s used to be. The design is pretty cool and helpful with both east and west ramps, along with steps at the main entranceway. The Customer Service booth is positioned facing the entrance & exit sliding doors which is very convenient. Self-checkout is also available. On my visit today, the CS person who took care of my return, which had a small caterpillar inside the carton and a few other hidden spoiled berries, was nice and funny—making the exchange simple and pleasant. I also couldn’t find croquetas in their Deli, and because I have yet to find them there, I asked and a manager said they don’t carry them because it’s not a popular item in the area. Well, they have a large supply of just about everything else and the service is what we have come to expect and respect from this large grocer, so I’m happy to return again and again.

I walked up to the deli, asked for a regular rotisserie chicken, and within 3 minutes flat, I had it in my hands—hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The staff was friendly, efficient, and actually listened to what I asked for. It might seem like a small thing, but when your morning is tight and you just need one thing done right, this kind of service makes all the difference. Everyone was attentive, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care that customers were taken care of quickly and politely. Publix gets a lot of praise for customer service—and this team absolutely lived up to it. Huge shoutout to the deli staff for being on point today. I’ll be coming back here regularly—this is how it’s supposed to be done!

Beautiful, large Publix in Pompano. Friendly, helpful staff, impeccable clean store. This was a work assignment to see what biltong was sold here. They had more brands then I expected.
