Tourist gift shop with a nice variety and decent prices. I liked that many of the items have "Kona" on them. Slightly off the beaten path. Owner was friendly, said he moved to Kona from Cleveland 30 years ago and the view of the ocean sure beats the view of a parking lot when he worked in an office.
The coconut postcards are a great idea if sending within the US. However if sending outside the US, don't believe the shop worker, you'll have to ship in a box, not a stamp on the coconut as he said. Shipping to the EU will be about 24 bucks, not 17. He will tell you to put the recipients address on the coconut - don't waste your time for that, just write a lovely message, take the coconut and put it into your suitcase. That's way cheaper. Since he sent over 70.000 coconuts, he probably knows that international shipping is only in a box. Too bad he doesn't tell the customer...
Very cool place with lots of interesting stuff. We fell in love with many items in the shop, sadly we didn't have room to take all of them home with us... But we definitely got the best souvenirs of our whole trip there. Cheaper than the rest of the stores in the area. The lady was super helpful and nice. 100% recommended.
Small tourist shop with good prices (including some items you see priced slightly higher at other shops) but the fun twist is their "coconut postcards." Add your own art (or doodles depending on your skill) and messages to a hollowed out coconut and send it home to yourself or family.
The sweet lady working this place was very helpful. It was crazy hard to find really nice fake flower leis on the big island. I’m not sure why. Easy to find on the other islands. She directed us to a couple other stores in the area. They had nothing. So we came back and purchased a couple items from her store as a thank you for her generosity. She does have quite the assortment of knickknacks though worth stopping by.
