Safeway always have specials on Fridays called $5 Fridays! Of course you would have to go early since most items are limited. We love their $5 strawberry cake. It's usually sold for $14.99. So this is such a good deal! The cake is so moist, airy and light topped with a generous amount of whipped cream, some fresh strawberries and strawberry sauce. Another popular $5 Friday deal is their deep fried chicken. Eight large pieces! So tasty and crunchy! Each week have different deals!

Made an online order for butterball turkey rolls to be used on Thanksgiving. When you order online, it doesn't tell you that items are out of stock until you come and pick it up. Now is the day before Thanksgiving and I have to scramble to find a main course for my Thanksgiving dinner. I would say that is a fail for the online ordering process.
Got to the checkout. The conveyer belt is either old, dirty or both. I heard the older gentleman in front of me say to the cashier that he felt she hadn’t treated him well. Not knowing the context I thought maybe he was the cranky one. Nope, once it was my turn, she had a bad attitude and threw my stuff across the scanner to the bagging area as she rung me up. Being new to Safeway, I wanted to make sure I signed up right and got the member pricing, and she just dismissively gestured toward the screen.
