Safeway

Run of the mill grocery store. Prices are high, unless you have a Safeway Member's Card. I spent $36 on items tonight, but it would have been just over $45 without the card. Store is clean, workers are helpful but at night the parking lot is rather dark and people drive fast through it. Not that it is in a bad area, but poorly lit lots can lead to making yourself a target. Recommend this store, I shop it when I can. Update as of 7MAY22: Masks no longer required. No restrictions of any kind. Things are back to normal. The bakery is still pumping out excellent food. Lots of Mothers' Day flowers to choose from! Update as of 7JULY22: No big changes. Bakery is still delightful and produces tasty food. Update as of 9OCT22: No major changes. Still good selection of items. I still recommend getting a Safeway Card so you can save money. Update as of 3FEB23: Still the same good old Safeway. Update as of 6APR23: Same Safeway. Good bakery and bakery items. Prices are reasonable. No major changes as of 70CT24. No major changes as of 20JUL25.

Lately I have been upset when I came here. Because I have a full grocery cart. And I have to use self check out. No cashier, only one 15 items or less. I don't know. Again I was just there Feb 5th spend $362.38 dollars. I had to go to self check out. Couldn't fit all my groceries 😩 the lady called for help 4 times. Nothing. The self check out had a line.

For the love of God, please open the self checkouts early in the morning! The gals who work in the morning are friendly and work well ,but they can only do so much.They get the stars. This morning I waited in a long line to be transferred to another register where the gentleman ignored customers while he talked football with another worker.The small talk is fine except that it was painful to watch this as he scanned an item a minute and paused to talk for long periods between customers…especially agonizing when you have to get to work. Having the option of using self checkouts would be helpful.

I've always shopped Safeway it's always clean good sales Always can find everything I need . But today I asked Employee Named Deanna to help me she was very cold distant does not provide good customer service very. Rude was very disappointed as all the employees here are very good provide excellent customer service such a shame on how she represent Kapolei Safeway. So sad because people want friendly response if need ask employee any questions or assistance

I had came in today 9/24. Around 2:30 pm ish. A lady name Jamie in the bakery department helped me. (Idk if thats how you spell her name). She’s amazing. She was about to leave for the day and she took her time to helped me get my order confirmed and correct for tomorrow as I had called over the phone yesterday to order. The person I talked to didn’t really give me the assurance my order was getting written correctly so I wanted to come in myself. Very thankful for Jamie for making sure she wrote down the right size cake, right colors i wanted and right piping style i wanted. She also took pictures of examples i wanted the cake to look like to show her coworkers/bakers. She made my day as this order is for a special occasion. I been ordering my cakes here for birthdays and this made me want to continuously come back.
