They need a ALERT system like a bell or some kind buzzard at the cold section of the deli counter. All the times I go on Friday there’s only one person taking care of the hot food section due to the $5 deals. Wish someone do something as simple as that.
Is great especially for quality deli and bakery. The meat department will cut steaks for you, grind up whatever. Fresh donuts and breads at 5am
I never had a bad experience until today, my daughters 18th birthday cake looked terrible. The writing does not look nice or professional. She was so bummed it didnt turn out like she wanted. Green cake is the one safeway made
The store is clean and well lit... the produce was well stocked as was most of the grocery items. The line was a bit long as there was only one cashier...but it went pretty quickly. The cashier was very nice. All in all it was a pleasant experience.
I normally have a great experience shopping at this Safeway location, but I wanted to share an experience I had recently at the self-checkout area. When I was done checking out, one of the employees (I believe her name was Viz) spoke to me in a very rude and condescending tone. She said it was “common sense” not to use self-checkout when you have items on discount and have more than 5 items, even though there were no signs or instructions posted anywhere. I had never been told that before, so her comment really caught me off guard and made me feel humiliated in front of others. I actually left the store feeling so upset that I went to my car and cried. Later, I called the store to talk about it, and the customer service manager, Reid, was extremely kind and understanding. He listened patiently, empathized with what I felt, and said he’d address it with the employee. He mentioned he understood because this had happened before and that he would remind her to be more careful with her wording. I really appreciated his empathy and professionalism. I also want to thank the lady who first answered my call — she was polite and helpful even before transferring me to the manager. Overall, I hope the store reminds that rude employee VIZ to speak respectfully to customers. A little kindness goes a long way, and Reid truly represented the customer-care spirit that keeps me coming back to Safeway.
