The staff are helpful and friendly. They have a well stocked produce section and a locally grown produce section. They have a large deli area and a great selection of prepared dinners. This is a great store for visitors and locals.
For me to walk into a store, give them money AND work for them by being my own cashier . . . the prices would need to be significantly lower (they're not). After the last 20 or so visits where only the self-checkouts were open, I'm done. At first, it was a matter of convenience. But that "convenience" was put there due to the inconvenience of the other registers being closed. I'm just not playing that game anymore.
Had a red haired young lady helped me find a water filter. She was a great help. Courteous cashier at the pharmacy too. Parking lot is tight for a big truck but still happy with the place.
If you know how to find the bargains, Safeway has 'em! I live on a fixed income. On certain days you can find great deals on meat that is near the "best by" date. I usually can find a lot of deals that I fill my freezer up with. And there are other deals throughout the store. Their produce section is neat and clean, and the produce is fresh and flavorful! And their phone app has lots of other ways to save money!
Stopped in to pick up a prescription and get some chicken. For those of you that don't know on Mondays you can get an eight-piece chicken for $5.99! Such a good deal and the chicken tastes so good. It tastes like what my grandmother used to make 😄
