I ordered the Sweet Devotion arrangement for $64.95 through DoorDash, but the shop marked it out of stock and substituted a completely different arrangement priced at $134.98! More than double the original without my authorization! I only approved the original price plus dasher tip. Customers should be clearly contacted and asked before any price increase or substitution of this magnitude. This created unnecessary stress during an already sensitive time of death! Buyers: please watch your orders do not order from them they have very bad business practices what a shame! Updated response to owner: ‼️Erroneous information? The flower shop is responsible for replacements they decide on my behalf that were unauthorized. Instead of just canceling the order, they upgraded my order with a replacement twice the amount the original order was for a bouquet of flowers totaling $64.95. Why on earth would I want a replacement, let alone roses from Valentine’s Day, when I was sending a condolence gift for a death? I chose Sweet Devotion. Hence, that had a description of: “The Spring Bursting Forth bouquet blooms with springtime charm and wonder, offering a beautiful expression of your sweetest sentiments this Spring season. Lovely lavender roses, lavender stock, and pink stock are accented with a variety of lush greens in this amazing floral arrangement. Presented in a modern cylinder vase, the bouquet is a wonderful gift to help celebrate an anniversary, a Spring birthday, or just because. Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create your arrangement due to the availability of certain flowers at certain times of the year or day. Care is taken to maintain the style, theme, and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal or greater value.” This is what’s advertised under the Sweet Devotion flower selection. Clearly, any substitutions are done by the shop directly, not DoorDash. The order should have simply been canceled, not substituted with an upgrade double the price without contacting me first. You don’t send roses for a death, and it was clearly, in addition, being sent as a gift to the receiving individual it was meant for. You can’t change the narrative and discredit my shopping experience. I called the shop directly right away to express this frustration and was told I could simply cancel. WRONG. How can I cancel an order that is already picked up and the dasher is en route to deliver? I was told by DoorDash this would be refunded, and on both ends it’s negligence and malice. The last thing I wanted was to tarnish or lie on a small business, but there has to be some sort of accountability from both parties. In the review replies from the owner, it’s a pattern of them placing blame on third-party vendors and stating that we should direct these concerns to them when, however, someone is making these drastic changes and decisions on behalf of the customer and blaming DoorDash or third-party businesses. This should not qualify as a disclaimer: “Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create your arrangement due to the availability of certain flowers at certain times of the year or day.” Simply update the website to reflect what the shop has in stock or list the items as out of stock and stop misleading customers. We would greatly appreciate if you as Crystal Flower Shop if you took accountability and remove your defense responses under your customer reviews! Nor will I convert my review to accommodate your poor business practices. Thank you!
I ordered a floral arrangement with irises, roses, tulips, and purple daisies in shades of purple and pink. Instead, I received white daisies, pink carnations, and four roses (yellow and pink), two of which—and some of the daisies—wilted by the next day. A representative told me they would pick up the arrangement two days later and replace it with something of equal value to what I originally ordered. On the scheduled pickup day, I was informed by text that they would not replace the arrangement or issue a refund and that I had received what I ordered. After I resent photos showing the difference between what was advertised and what was delivered, the business stated they cannot guarantee an exact replica and that they had provided an arrangement with “same color harmony, value, look and feel.” For reference, mixed arrangements using tulips, irises, and multiple premium blooms typically cost an estimated 20–35 USD more than simpler daisy‑and‑carnation arrangements from comparable Chicago florists in early January. Update: yes arrangements may be different than the image when using a 3rd party. Please see the 2 images added. It states: SAME COLOR HARMONY, VALUE, LOOK AND FEEL When I called the florist directly an employee let me know that they would replace the arrangement with one of equal value to what I ordered. That I would need to leave the arrangement where it was dropped off by 9am only to later receive a text from your shop stating that my daisy and carnation arrangement went all criteria, and you let me know again that the arrangement may vary when going through a 3rd party. Can you please explain why one day you agreed to replace it and the next you refused to?
I got married on 12/31/23 and Crystal Flower Shop provided the flowers, set up for the ceremony, and set up our balloon drop! They were fantastic to work with, on time, quality product, and did exactly as I expected. I would highly recommend using Crystal Flower Shop for any occasion!
Ordered a flower arrangement for the first time for my wife’s birthday and it was simply beautiful. Every flower was in perfect bloom!! Very happy with the flowers and the delivery. Will definitely use them again!
Went through a third party Flower service and this was the Flowershop that went ahead and did my order. First of all i had requested for it to be delivered on 01/23/2026. It was instead delivered on 01/22/2026. Then after i stated the error through the service they went ahead and cancelled the order. they then called me stating that they needed to pick up the flowers today. Ive now texted them and ZERO response. I will be throwing these flowers away as they died in the cold as i was instructed that they would be picked up. Ive tried to communicate as best as i could without any response. Really bad communication and overlypriced for mid service and flowers.
