West End Garden Center is a North Shore treasure. Liz and her crew are the most knowledgeable and helpful around. Liz is a literal walking encyclopedia of all things plant-related. She and her staff also care a great deal and will go above and beyond to ensure you receive the best options to meet your gardening needs, as well as the best advice too. West End also carries a great selection of plants. All of the basics that you need but also some very exotic and unusual plants too. Whether stopping in for a quick gift, looking for a houseplant or centerpiece, planting a summer garden, or creating an entire landscape plan, West End will get the job done. I can't speak highly enough about West End Garden Center!
West End has the best selection and quality of plants in greater Chicago area! The owners and staff are knowledgeable and genuinely seem care about the success of my gardening projects. Every time I visit, I find something beautiful to bring home and never have an issue finding help when I need it! I will definitely be coming back, keep it up!
We have shopped there for years and today our last time. The owner is unfriendly and rude. Seems annoyed w questions. Abysmal customer service. We have always cared about supporting small, local businesses. But not there any longer.
I like to shop local and support independent small businesses. Staff were all wearing appropriate masks and coaching shoppers on safe personal space. The selection of vegetable plants and seeds was nearly sold-out because of high demand. I would definitely recommend this place for bushes and flowers. I will shop there first when I need some straw for mulching.
I showed up on October 3rd and there was still an abundant selection of healthy, beautiful plants. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My 5-year-old granddaughter enjoyed helping to plant the containers, and look how nice the results are on the deck after dark!
