I am getting ready to go on line to file a complaint. It used to be the best place in town for meat and veggies. NOT! I intended to purchase alot of both. I picked up grape tomatoes of a particular brand I know to be good. Each package I picked up were full of mold. So I picked another brand, $1.00 more in cost. They were all full of wrinkles. And gnats flew out at me! I did purchase some apples, and necterines but took back the bag of salad because it had started to turn brown. I will not go back. This is the third chance we have given because it used to be my favorite store. I kept hoping the manager who has been there all along would get his self together but apparently he has not. I will take my money else where!
This is a great place to shop and normally has everything I need. It is not one of those superstores that has everything and therefore it's NOT very big. I've had a stroke and that is very important to me. I don't have to walk as much as I do in the bigger stores.
I tried calling twice to order an arrangement for my Mother. First time the phone rang 17 times before I hung up. The second attempt was 27 rings. No one EVER answered the phone and I was calling during business hours.
We ordered the flowers for my son's wedding and the rehearsal dinner from Schnuck's in Savoy. As always, Jeff Harden, the manager, did a superb job of the bouquets. My son's bride & I visited Prairie Gardens to buy a few silk flowers in various shades of pink, salmon, & peach to try with her wedding gown. When we chose exactly the colors we wanted, we took them to Schnuck's, and left them with Sarah, who took our order and assisted us as we studied pictures to select arrangements of fresh flowers. We ordered an altar arrangement, a bouquet for the table with the guest register, flowers to decorate the cake, and to adorn the bride's hair, along with the usual bouquets, boutonnieres, & corsages. The bouquets of roses, hydrangeas, and greenery were as gorgeous as we had hoped. We had clusters of African violets in assorted colors on each table at the rehearsal dinner and at the reception; I was quite pleased to use the same flowers for both events! Several of our guests took violets home; we donated the rest to an assisted living facility. The flowers were fresh, lovely, and skillfully arranged. I highly recommend the floral shop at Schnuck's in Savoy.
