I have been coming to the McNamara Florist located at Glendale on 62nd Street for twenty-five years, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Funerals, St. Valentine's Day. Every time, I place the same order, and every time, the elderly woman behind the counter acts as though I am a first time customer. Today, the elderly woman behind the counter protested that there was no need to wrap my order in protective cellophane. And, when I insisted they do so, the elderly woman behind the counter claimed that it was "too hot". This has never come up before, and when I reminded the elderly woman behind the counter that I have been a customer for twenty-five years, she chose that precise moment to mock me saying, "You always say that!" So, lo and behold, she does, in fact, remember who I am. I believe it may be time to look for a more customer friendly florist.
McNamara's always does a fantastic job at a reasonable price! My daughter and I wanted something to cheer on our hero, Mom, yesterday and the folks at McNamara set us up with this amazing vase full of Gerber Daisies for less than I would have thought. The people at McNamara's know flowers and care about their customers!
I worked with a very friendly and courteous associate to build a nice bouquet of flowers for my aunt as a Christmas present. She was very attentive and helped me choose what looked right while staying within my budget. My total for a lovely batch of flowers came to $23 which I think is extremely reasonable especially given that they prepared and wrapped them for me. All in all it was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend this store to anyone looking for flowers.
My family has been loyal to McNamara for over fifty years, and their exceptional service keeps us coming back. While I often visit the location nearest to me, I’ve had great experiences at other locations as well. No matter which one you choose, you can always count on beautifully arranged, fresh flowers delivered right on time. Their funeral arrangements are especially dignified, but they offer flowers for all occasions. Beyond that, they have a wonderful selection of plants, gift baskets, chocolates, and more. The customer service is consistently outstanding. Keep up the fantastic work, McNamara!
My husband (who actually worked for McNamara's over 50 years ago during school breaks) brought in our Mottahedah soup tureen and had a Christmas arrangement made. It was absolutely exquisite! The florist added a plastic liner, so I was able to water it without any worry of leakage on our dining room table. The arrangement was so beautiful, and literally lasted a MONTH (except for the carnations). I highly recommend this wonderful florist; we visited the Glendale location.
