Barnswallow Flowers

The pictures of the flowers inside my apartment were around 3-4 days after my wedding and they still looked great! I had my wedding on May 25, 2023 and was looking for a DIY flowers from a local flower farm here in IA. It was very stressful because all the locations said no to me and that they only start their DIY buckets season around mid June or later. I found Barnswallow and finally received a yes from Meredith. They offer three different color choices (pastels, bright, or whites) and they also include greenery as well with their flowers. I wasn’t very picky about the flowers and ordered three buckets (2 pastels, 1 whites) for my wedding (it was plenty, we had a good amount left over that I gifted my new mother in law) for 10 table arrangements. My wedding colors included peach and they didn’t offer much orange/tangerine colors so I had specially bought 100 stems roses online through a different website which worked out perfectly. The DIY flowers were beautiful and whimsical (peonies were in season and they were gorgeous!). If you aren’t super picky with your colors or looking for neutrals (whites) this is your place! Or if you are picky you can always do what I did, the flowers from the farm were the prettiest filler flowers and all my guests were non stop complimenting them. I was so happy with the results and having all these seasonal flowers. It was great to purchase from a local IA business and support them as well! I would highly recommend!

Meredith is an artist and an innovator. She puts passion, heart and intention behind what she grows and the arrangements she designs. I hired Barnswallow Flowers to do my wedding because I wanted locally grown flowers and I love Meredith’s vision. I was not disappointed. My bouquet was stunning, guests took as many photos of it as they did me (the bride)! She also made a pair of statement arrangements to contribute to the ambience of the reception space, they were so tall and beautiful. Prices were reasonable, ordering process was straightforward, and she delivered the order straight to the venue so I didn’t have to think about anything on my big day. I recommend Barnswallow for your wedding or next special event.

Not only is the Blue Barn at Barnswallow Flowers convenient to pick up from dusk til dawn, but moreover they are chemical free and the farm is female-owned and operated!! We loved going out and picking peppers, I wish I knew a Peter!!

What a fun and beautiful atmosphere Barnswallow provides! Love the mini arrangements of flowers you can get in the little blue barn! Meredith is a very loving and passionate person. She definitely makes you feel at home!

A beautiful establishment with wonderful hard working professional staff. I will return. They have an air BNB on the property. Very clean.
