Lex Plant Farm & Garden Center

Last minute stop to get some fresh dirt for my garden. The owner worked with me to get the correct ratio for best nutrition, aeration and drainage. As I said this was a last minute stop so I was not prepared. I had my 16' trailer but did not bring cardboard or tarps to keep the soil from blowing away nor falling thru the floor boards. He was fantastic!!! He had some scrap plastic and cardboard for the floor, loaded the trailer wet the soil to limit loss until I could get 2 miles down the road to Lowe's to purchase a tarp to cover it. Ive purchased from Lex for over 20 years always excellent choices in plants soil and super friendly helpful and very knowledgeable staff. Definitely recommend this business for all your gardening needs.

Great plant selection, great selection of cats to pet!

Great plant selection, decent prices, and the cutest little 4 pawed helper you ever did see! My husband got to pet the kitty cat while I shopped around so it was awesome as usual! We found this place last time we visited and made sure to stop by again! Enjoy the great selection, the kitty cat helper, the kind staff, the view of the horses grassing, and the unique planters!

After recently moving into a house with the rose bushes suffering from rosette disease and having no landscaping or trees in the back yard, we toured all the nurseries in the Bossier/Shreveport area. We even went down to Keithville, scouting out new trees and shrubs. Lex had the best tree selection in the area by far! Their shrubs were also nice and healthy. They had very mature 30-40+ gallon trees, which is so nice to quickly improve the yard without having to wait years for saplings to grow. The staff was great and helpful. We even went back to get a Traveler Weeping Redbud tree the we fell in love with!
