Stop & Shop

Stop and shop online had a glitch that really screwed up my order. Shanice (hope I spelled that right) in pickup was absolutely phenomenal. She not only fixed my order but was super nice, super professional and truly made my day. As someone in the medical field that works with the public.. I know when someone is going above and beyond for their job, and she absolutely is. I hope the uppers see this and reward her for her amazing work!

I was a Shaw’s customer until recently. This Stop & Shop is always stocked with all the groceries I need, clean, and somehow more peaceful than other nearby grocery stores. Also, Shannon is my favorite cashier. She is quick and friendly and always makes just the right amount of small talk. I choose her lane instead of self checkout every time.

I called yesterday to ask about one of the item if they have in stock. The customer service wasn’t too good …. She told me there wasn’t any left, and I went there guess what there was lots of them in the store……… thank god I went to check … what kind of service that can check 1 things but can’t check other stuff ?? In the system doesn’t tell you what is in the store and what is out ??????

Groceries are fine. Cashier's are always in short supply. One major complaint, the Bottle Return Center is in poor repair and is disgustingly dirty. Often full and for the last couple weeks out of order. Returning bottles is not a fun chore and only gets more aggravating when it becomes harder to return them or having to go to a different Stop & Shop to return them.

As far as food affordability and availability this location is a 4 star establishment. What’s costing them two stars is the ever increasing faulty and excessively sensitive weighted scale in self checkout and the monitoring camera system that just blatantly lies after you ring up an item and place it down.
