Stop & Shop

Saddest bunch of produce I have ever seen from a grocery store. Makes me want to go back to my home state where the fruits and vegetables are better.

My first time here and the store itself is clean, well-lit, and pleasant. Pretty good amount of produce, dairy and meat, and various everyday products. Price is on the "okay" side (not cheap). But there are some good weekly deals one may take advantage of. Most disappointed though, that the online sign up does not work. The verification email does not get sent. Tried multiple times with multiple emails and asked other people to try making an account, no one was able to get the verification email to work. Customer service desk manually put in the details (which I later hated because they got extra information out of me with my Driver's License that was not required to create Account online). But you still have to LINK your card to the online account I cannot create. Got no apologies for this inconvenience and wasting an hour of my time. Customer service (on the phone) was closed for the weekend. The service desk in the Shop told me to call tomorrow as they can't fix the issue, but I don't want to waste more of my own time to fix a company's problem. Found it very frustrating how no-one took ownership and kept saying it must be my email/phone/network that is the issue. And yes, I checked the Spam folder multiple times. Will probably not Shop here unless I super-urgently need something because of the location. Not cheap, bad customer service, even basic online function does not work. Quality of produce and products were okay, cleanliness great, felt safe inside and around the store. Uploading some updated photos as the ones I checked before coming into the store were from 7 years ago. Cheers.

This place was the bane of my existence when I lived nearby. It's always understaffed, with 1 cashier doing checkout for a mile-long line. They have 4 self-checkout kiosks where people run through full carts of groceries without knowing how to use the machine, creating another mile-long line down another aisle. The best part is, the one thing you REALLY need that you can't just get at TJ's down the street -- is never in stock. Only recommend going here if you are desperate.

Spent $250 on groceries and the woman working our checkout had the audacity to leave us with the conveyer still running, not even pretending to help pack groceries. Didn't even try to help me work out my Stop and Shop card, despite me having signed up last time I was there and on top of that lied and said it was applied when it wasn't. Manager was walking around like a fool helping absolutely no one, and looked at me and walked away when I was looking for help. It was astonishing how clueless everyone seemed to be when I simply just needed a hang packing my large grocery haul.

We live close by and I appreciate how quickly the self-checkout line moves. Have not had any issues with low stock. Good produce!
