CVS Pharmacy

Although the store is well-stocked and with generally kind staff, I had a very negative experience at the pharmacy with the pharmacist (the techs were all quite kind). First, I heard the pharmacist saying that their vaccine system was down and there were people waiting for vaccines. She said “it’s not safe, but we’ll have to do it the old way”. If it’s not safe- DON’T DO IT. The same pharmacist was extremely rude and paternalistic when I was picking up my medication. I left there feeling upset. I know this is a busy 24 hour pharmacy and I have suspicions CVS corporate puts a lot of burden on their pharmacists. It’s obvious that the staff are overworked between pickups, consultations, vaccines, PAs etc. It’s unfortunate, but the pharmacist I interacted with doesn’t treat her patients right. I know they can do a lot better here, and I hope they do. In the meantime, go to Magoun Square if you can.

The staff is great but I hate the new touch screens. God knows what the people who used the screen before were sick with, and now their germs are on my fingers. I used to use my little finger to "sign" but it's not strong enough for these somewhat unresponsive screens. A bad idea, CVS.

Vaccine Day. This was the first day that this CVS started offering the Covid vaccine and I was one of the lucky ones to get the 10am, first appointment. They were ready to checkin soon as people entered, to confirm the appointment. 3 people giving the vaccines in an area designated for that. Appointments were scheduled 15 minutes apart, so no crowd, just the next few people waiting. This went off with no issues at all. I'm not surprised, as CVS has always done a great job, at any location I've visited.

Had to get an emergency refill of my medicine before leaving for a weekend trip. Pharmacy was wonderful and very helpful ❤️

One staff gave me attitude on listened to me fully. But don’t need the attitude. Need some coaching.
