Whole Foods Market

I was in a rush to buy a cake for my nephew's 21st birthday. The bakery team recommended this beautiful and delicious cake. They were patient, friendly, described the inside of the cake and it was exactly what they said ......"DELICIOUS." I must add that their display counter always looks beautiful and tempting even when I don't have a need to buy anything. I'll try a mini pastry with a cup of coffee in the near future. Keep up the great work!

Nov/25th/2025 7:50pm I am furious at the fraudulent sales practices of employees who deceive and swap customers for these products. For Thanksgiving today, I bought two items: chocolate mousse and fruit cake.at DEDHAM WHOLE FOOD . I received them without checking them. When I got home and opened them, the mousse cake was melted, distorted, and broken. It was too melted for my guests to eat. I think the salesperson tricked the customer into selling a cake that should have been thrown in the trash. I tried just the center part, but it was inedible. I couldn't trust the rest of the fruitcake, so I threw it away. This is the worst Thanksgiving ever.!!!!!!

I usually stop in just to grab a piece of fruit. They really emphasize organic products, which is great, but it would also be nice to see a few more affordable options. The hot bar is especially expensive at around twelve dollars a pound. That price might make sense for chicken or more complex dishes, but paying that much for pasta or vegetables doesn’t feel like a good value. By the time you’re done, it can cost about the same as ordering a meal from a restaurant.

I called ahead to find if they had a specific item not sold elsewhere in stock, before I drove 20 minutes each way. My call was answered. I asked about the item, and was put on hold while he checked. He came back to me after 11 minutes and answered as though I was a new caller. He put me on hold again, 5 minutes this time. I could hear someone picking up the phone and quickly hanging up several times during that call. I finally hung up and called back. I asked for the manager. Waited 10 minutes. Nobody responded to me. I hung up and decided to let people know that while Whole Foods is a great place, the help in this situation left me not wanting to shop there anymore. He could have just told me they were too busy instead of keeping me waiting and picking up only to immediately hand up. I stayed on hold all that time because I felt he was doing me a favor and didn’t want to dismiss him. Sorry, not sorry Whole Foods. You’ve just joined the rest of the not so special markets in my eyes.

This is a pretty good WFs that carries a lot of unique items apart from your normal WF expectations. They have Urban Remedy products, the higher quality sushi (sometimes WF sushi is a legit sugar bomb but not this place necessarily), good unique dark chocolate, sprouted bulk almonds, and an above average Hot Food bar. Good self checkout area, decent amount of seating, and usually parking is fine in the big lot.
