If i could give ten stars i would! Went to Shaws in Hanover MA for a quick grocery run, but instead was met by the most caring and compassionate starbucks barista i have ever met. I ordered the venti dubai chocolate matcha, and Sami made something that can only be described as heavenly. I hope whoever’s reading this takes their time to give sami the raise she deserves. Nice work girl! 😁😁😁😁😁
Went to shaws tonight with my child and my wife. There were 2 suspicious men outside shaws in the walk way near the candy, claw machine and pokemon machine. As we walked in and then out they were still there after over a hour of us shopping. My wife and I felt unsafe but walked out. It looked like the men were up to something and as we walked by they gave us unsettling looks and as my young child went up to both the claw machine and the pokemon machine one raggedy grown men yelled at my young child to get out of there. I said “easy dude he’s just a kid”. We later watched as one man messed with one of the machines behind it and other one kept watch. I called shaws after we left and said you have suspicious people near the vending machine and claw machine and all they said was they are scalpers or something and “ we can’t help “. Seeing as they have no problem yelling at my small child then give us unsettling looks and shaws doesn’t care, I’m afraid if I wasn’t with my wife or child it would have been a lot worse. The fact they are allowed to loiter and yell at children at the machines and Shaws won’t do anything is crazy. I wanted to call the cops but my wife told me not to but I won’t be bringing my family or having my small children near that store if they allow people like that to just stand out there harassing people and it’s not the first time I’ve seen these same grown men out there just the first time they yelled at my young child. They sit out there pretending to be on video chat call. The fact the store allows these people to do this is crazy stuff is insane. Please keep a eye on your children if you see these 2 suspicious men they have no problem yelling at your children. Please be aware and make sure your family’s protected. If these people can yell at my kid they could do worse. And shaws wont do anything about it. They yell or come near my wife again I told my wife spray them with mace, but other than that we are going to stop and shop from now on.
I shop here because it's the closest grocery store to home, but the dead rat smell is just getting worse every time I go there! I first smelled it around where the pet food/plates and stuff are, but now it has expanded to around the milk and juice aisles. The smell has expanded towards the back of the store. It's awful and makes me not want to shop there anymore. It's been months and nothing has been done about the smell. 🤢
I frequent Hanover and Cohasset. The one thing I wish they would do is provide thicker ply paper bags. On several occasions my bags have ripped open because the items should have warranted a double bag. I know at one time the bags were a lot more thicker and double bagging didn’t have to be done. Check out the bags that Trader Joe’s uses.
Not my favorite location overall. Employees just don't seem happy/friendly and are not helpful at all. A couple of Tuesdays ago I witnessed a disturbing interaction with what I heard to be the assistant manager and a young lady who was clearly very very distressed. The AM not only did nothing to try to deescalate the situation she just kept yelling the same thing at the customer over and over who a few minutes later ran out of the store crying. Part of a Manager or AM job is to read people and fix situations before they get out of control which makes other customers feel uncomfortable. The poor woman clearly needed some empathy. I don't believe I will return to this location again overall just not a good vibe.
