Kohl's - what has happened to you? This particular store was an absolute MESS!! Nice employees (if you could find one) and that's where it ends. I have never in my life seen a department store in such disarray. The shoe department was especially bad. Shoes and boxes thrown everywhere along with random merchandise from other departments just sitting there. There was only one cashier which was a minor inconvenience, but seriously my wife wanted to leave ASAP because the place was so bad. Not to mention a pair of Dearfoam slippers was $68.00! Seriously? If you don't change something I don't see you being around for much longer. Everyone knows you are raising up the prices only to lower them down. I would hate to see a store like yours close but I can see why you are struggling. Go back to your old ways with good prices and coupons and please clean up your store!!
I came in to return a Disney item and the experience was extremely frustrating. I waited about 15 minutes in line with five people ahead of me because there was only one cashier working. When a second cashier finally opened, she asked if I had an Amazon return. I said no, it was a Disney return — and was then told that Disney returns are processed at the Amazon return center across the store. After already waiting 15 minutes, I had to walk to the back of the store and wait another 10 minutes behind two more customers, again with only one associate working that counter. There was no signage at the front directing Disney returns elsewhere, and no one triaged customers in line to prevent wasted time. That’s a basic operational issue. Customers shouldn’t have to wait twice for the same transaction because of poor staffing and unclear direction. On top of that, the pricing in-store feels significantly higher than competitors, even with coupons. When service is inefficient and pricing isn’t competitive, it makes it hard to justify shopping here. This wasn’t about the return itself — it was about the lack of organization and customer flow.
Good price on shoes, but it is difficult to find the correct size as the place was a mess in that dept. Sizes mixed in with wrong boxes. Took me about an hour but was able to find something I liked but had to match shoe size and model # so I didn't go home with different shoes. Someone should spend more time organizing thd shoes. Customers mix them all up while trying them on
I placed an online order for store pickup because it said it would be ready within two hours, but that definitely wasn’t the case. It took almost 4–6 hours before I got the notification that my order was ready. The staff were polite when I finally picked it up, but the delay was really frustrating since the advertised pickup time was way off. Would be nice if Kohl’s updated their online estimates to be more accurate.
So, I don’t make Kohls my normal place to shop, simply because i don’t love their “stuff” but I went online and found two pairs of boots on sale and thought “why not”. I was reminded again “why not” …. I ordered and received an email saying my order was ready, I went out there and they were not ready! Ok no problem, things happen. The girl said we would receive another email when they “get there”. A week or so goes by and I get an email saying “cancelled” I call the store for 2 hours before getting through and when some girl says, ya sorry one item was canceled because we can’t find it and another was reimbursed because you never picked it up. I said, I never got the email saying it was in! Nope, nothing she could do… she couldn’t simply go get the boots on the shelf that they put back this morning. Just no… I know now why they are all shutting down. No customer service.
