I recently visited the North Adams Walmart and had a fantastic experience, thanks to some exceptional staff members and the unique atmosphere. I especially want to recognize Zach, Damien, Derek, and Mackenzie. Zach was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to assist me, guiding me to the correct aisle not just once but twice, with a friendly and approachable manner. Mackenzie’s warmth and friendliness stood out as well—even though I didn’t need help from her directly, her welcoming attitude made a big difference. Derek was equally friendly, and Damien was impressively effective; he seemed like he was in a managerial role, showing strong expertise and efficiency in his support. This Walmart stands out for more than just its excellent service; the scenic hilltops surrounding it give the store a unique and beautiful location. My dad always says this might be the most beautiful Walmart in the entire country, and I’d have to agree. The mural inside and the store displays add to the charm, making shopping here a pleasant experience. The store is spacious, accessible (especially for my father who has poor knees from serving as a two-time American Veteran), and well-maintained, with clean facilities and ample parking. Overall, I’m grateful to these team members for making my visit so smooth and enjoyable. I’ll definitely be returning, not only for the convenience and affordability Walmart offers but also to enjoy this refreshing and welcoming store again. Update: I just want to take a moment to compliment Dawn, the cashier at Walmart, for being such a delight. Her thoughtfulness in conversation was truly heartwarming—genuine, warm, and filled with the kind of kindness that stays with you long after you've left the store. In a world that often feels rushed and impersonal, Dawn's sincerity is a reminder of the connections that make life richer. It’s people like her who make North Adams feel like home, where authenticity and human warmth still matter. We need more of that, and I’m grateful for the joy she brings to her work and to everyone she meets.
It's a good store. I wish they would do more maintenance on their electric carts. Some of them don't hold a charge and die rather quickly throughout the store. I have had two or three die in one visit multiple times.
On 2/9/2026, at APPX 11:02am EST; I called the North Adams Walmart Pharmacy. I spoke with an oriental pharmacist (Not being or meaning to sound rude or disrespectful, I used the term oriental because the gentleman IS of Asian nationality, & also I do not nor was given his name.) Anyways, I mentioned a few concerns I had regarding my prescriptions being related to my insurance, which was the MAIN concern for my call (financially speaking in regards to my insurance.) The gentleman continuously interrupted me, kept sighing, and kept speaking over me, and I also noticed he would get louder and louder so only he would be heard. This was upsetting me, even tho I attempted to de-esculate and apologize for "bothering" him, which I've done a number of times through out the phone call... (Possibly 3, maybe 4 times?) He didn't seem interested in any way about my concern, and made it appear like I was an inconvenience to his day with my WHOLE 2 questions. He made me feel like I was just not worthy, or important or in any way worth his time of day to speak to. I TRULY honestly feel this way! This is NOT a beneficial statement by saying this. I don't earn, or get anything for saying this. I'm taking time out of my day, to go online, search for this store, and even make a review. THAT alone should show how much I felt belittled, and like my business with Walmart wasn't, and isn't worthy enough to even seek guidance/assistance with my medication/insurance concern.... Again, which lasted MAYBE 3-6 minutes AT MOST, out of his 24 hour day! THE REASON for this review, is NOT to interfere with his employment, or have any ill will, or bad intentions (or trying to get him fired, or terminated). I don't have this type of negative track record, or background. The ONLY reason for me filing this complaint/review on your 'Google Search' page, is because I feel he should AT THE VERY KEAST, be spoken with in regards to how he TREATS AND/OR SPEAKS to paying CONSUMERS! I don't feel termination (in my opinion) fits the "crime" per say.... HOWEVER, I DO feel he needs a form of UPPER MANAGEMENT, to humble this gentleman in regards to customer/retailer relationships & communication. ESPECIALLY with his high profile position, and high paying tittle.... You're think you're want to protect yourself, your job, and your morales being in charge of other employees, and being in the medical field which you do, as far as I know... Still do the Dr/medical technicians creed. Which includes giving care, guidance, etc to your patience/customers. This gentleman BRIEFLY gave very little info regarding my questions... But did give me A LOT of I don't Knows, as well as being over aggressive with trying to control the conversation far to much and quietly, and dramatically treated me thru implying I was this inconvenience and basically, just this huge annoyance and wanted to just forget I was talking by how he treated/spoke to me. It really in general way unprofessional, and hurt me considering the situation I mentioned to him too, that I'm currently forced into with my previous employer 😞. Anywho, back to the subject... Please speak to and refresh this man's memory on customer service and how to speak to consumers, with tenderness, and delicate ways, not everyone enjoys being treated that way he did. Thanks so much for your time, patience, and understanding with this long review! It was NOT intentional to make it this long. It just bothered me so much, I had to grief and vent while making the review, for which I apologize. But I hope you get the jist of my feelings and treatment. Thank you again!
Apparently they dont want people to shop cause its cold as he'll in there. I like to walk around and look at other things not just what I went there for but its too cold and others are complaining too
Searched online for a vacuum went into the store the vacuum is priced $50 higher ask customer service about it and they said online is entirely different than what's in the store so if that's the case you shouldn't have your store inventory there looking like you have them and are willing to sell them at that
