Always a pleasant experience shopping here! My favorite time of the year (for the experience) is their autumnal shop. I have been there during the hotter summer-y months for house plant supplies, though. I’ve gotten several nice pots here. Sometimes it’s just worth the walk through to get inspired to craft. Bemis feels like a little hidden gem of Spencer Massachusetts. Last time I was there, I saw the pictures black petunias…I didn’t even though those existed! What a healthy place to make purchases of & learn about gardening!
I went to one of her workshops to make pumpkin center pieces and it was so much. The lady that ran it was amazing and super helpful. She designed a class that made it impossible to make something ugly. I would highly recommend and plan on attending several of her other classes.
If you haven’t been - you’re missing out. If you value organic and environmentally friendly raised plants, Bemis is the place for you. Ask for advice - the staff will know. Every plant ever purchased … the staff could always give me info on the growing habit and all sorts of stuff. Blows my mind. There is so many more good things I could say about this place, but in the end it comes down to this: I wish I’d started going here much sooner. It’s just the best nursery around hands down.
