A young man at the customer service was very rude to us today when we tried to buy 15 gift cards. He asked for ID and credit card, and I already gave them to him. After checking my ID he reported me to his manager and the security, pretending that the ID wasn’t normal. He made me and my parents waited for a very long time and he was rude to me until the manager came. He had fun by causing trouble for customers on purpose judging from his expression! We’ve been shopping here for many years because it’s closed to our house, but we’re scared to come to the store now after being treated like that today.
It's okay as Star Markets go, but Star feels to me to be more expensive than even Stop & Shop, let alone Market Basket. I tend to use it if there's a particular item I can't get elsewhere or my need is so small that it's not worth the time and gas to go elsewhere. But, as they say on the World Wide Web, YMMV.
Terrible customer service. Having someone who picks up the phone belittle a customer is insane. Do better star market. Avoid ordering online. They will purposefully grab the more expensive item and then tell you they do not have the original thing you ordered.
Staff at the deli and seafood counters are extremely rude. No “your welcomes” or “hellos”. Seafood staff gave me attitude because I told him what piece of fish I wanted three times and he still couldn’t hear me, and I have a LOUD voice
I enjoy the selection, but no thanks to Albertsons cutting staff(I have friends at Shaw's... I am seeing more expired stuff, like my 5 month old expired jar of pickles. And I don't blame the staff, they can only do so much, but when you have a skeleton crew running a supermarket, what do you expect? Albertsons, get with the program!!! I love the markets and the app, I hate the fact there are rarely ever any associates except in the from end it's sad when a front end staff person had to be seen leaving the front end to grab a mop to pick up a customer spill and grab a new item for the disabled customer because of lack of staff , then when that person gets a call to the front, they can be in 2 places at once. That's just ONE example! Maybe next time I see something amiss, I'll take a video. These people were so hard!
