Just stopped in and asked a employee for help choosing variety of roses. The women was not nice or helpful and pointed to them but would offer assistance. She wasn’t busy with anyone else. I walked over to the roses and asked the other employee for assistance but his English wasn’t very good so he said one min. and walked to ask the same women to help me. She then proceeded to complain and say my English wasn’t god enough and she wouldn’t help me. I speak 6 languages and have a European accent, but have lived in the states for over 12years. Never been so disrespected when trying to purchase items from a store, and it’s a shame because I planned to spend a couple thousand dollars on the landscape for me new house!
Unfortunately we had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience with Middletown Nursery (aka Oakleaf Landscape). Their lack of communication is astonishing. We spent thousands of dollars on their plants AND landscaping services. They showed up at our house did the work without notifying us. We had explicitly asked that they give us a heads up (which one would think is common sense), as we had guests staying at our home and we live across the country. We expressed our disappointment on how everything turned out (it looks terrible) and were assured they would make things right. Well, we paid them in full, and now our emails are going unanswered. There is ZERO attempt to make things right - even though we paid despite their negligence. There are many landscaping companies and nurseries on Martha's Vineyard, do yourself a favor and avoid Middletown at all costs.
Beautiful plants and huge variety…but my favorite part is the gift shop. Great place to grab a bouquet and a unique gift!
