Ruthie's Flower Shop

I live out of state and needed flowers delivered to my sister before she left work. I was hopeful that this company would be able to pull through and make my sister’s day. After seeing the arrangement and the delivery time, I would hands down recommend this company for their floral services! I believe Carmen was her name that assisted me and she was absolutely a pleasure to work with! My sister said that the flowers were so beautiful and that they made her day. The arrangement was huge; almost half her height! 🤩Thank you Ruth’s Flower Shop for creating a special day for my sister. I will call you again in the future and STRONGLY encourage anyone else too! 💜

Honestly, really upset with Ruthie’s and how they’ve handled things - which is super upsetting because I used to always recommend them to people looking for local florists…. My fiancé ordered flowers this past weekend for my bridal shower - and sent them to Lovell ME (which he had to pay an extra delivery fee for, which is understandable). He had a great experience with the first initial call and was super excited to surprise me - well the shower came and we never got the flowers (they were due to be delivered Saturday, my shower was Sunday). There was a initial delivery attempt (that for some reason was turned away) at the venue for the shower (also where I was having dinner that night) and he called them back and was told “the delivery person is still in the area, she can certainly still deliver them” and he provided them with a new and easier address - he also told his step father that a delivery would be coming so his step father stayed home all of Saturday to ensure we got them. He was never contacted after that, so we assumed everything was all set. Nothing was delivered on Saturday and no communication after the change in address - my fiance and I live in the west coast so when he did not hear from them he assumed everything was all set. He called yesterday to check in and see what happened, the woman he spoke to basically told him she had no idea and to call her boss (the owner). We are very confused as to why the flowers weren’t delivered - also, there is no need to hand them over to someone so if they truly tried to deliver to his step fathers why weren’t they left on the porch with a proof of delivery (which has been the process in the last deliveries from them) and how did his stepfather not notice someone trying to deliver flowers. I just don’t think they were every really attempted the second time… or if they were delivered (if that’s the claim) where is the proof of delivery? My mom is friends with her and used to help out at the shop so I asked my mom to talk to her and firstly see what happened and why he was never called if there was an issue with the second address, and to see how they’d be willing to work with us to make it right - my mom was basically told that it was our fault and we weren’t getting anything back. I’m sorry but if the flowers weren’t delivered (which we know they didn’t) and no one was contacted the second time after he was told “yes, she can certainly still get those delivered” how is it our fault and why are we stuck being out $100? That just doesn’t seem fair… unfortunately I will not be recommending Ruthie’s anymore.. which is a shame because their past reviews seem so great and the negative ones they’ve replied to seem to be willing to work with their customers.. we’ve tried every avenue and are just really upset that a nice surprise has turned into such a mess. Definitely will be going with other local florists moving forward. Update: After posting this review, the business responded publicly but refused to offer any meaningful resolution. At no point was an apology offered. Instead, responsibility was repeatedly shifted elsewhere and we were met with defensive/dismissive tone. We were told that assistance would not be provided unless we removed our review, which felt inappropriate and conditional rather than focused on resolving the issue itself. To date, we have not received the product we paid for, nor have we been refunded. This response only reinforced our concerns about how customer concerns are handled.

A great experience. Lynn at Ruthies was a pleasure to talk to on the phone. The recipients were extremely happy with the arrangement, which pleased me to no end. Even though the delivery was over 30 miles from their shop, they were kind enough to deliver on their way home. Would absolutely use them again. Shop Local!!

Ruthie's Flowers did a fantastic job with our wedding arrangements! Marge took our wedding colors and developed a seasonal display that looked amazing. When our original wedding venue burned down, we had to move our wedding to Cape Cod. Marge was able to accommodate our new location, and still provided our flowers. The bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces safely made it down to Cape Cod, and they looked great. We can't say enough great things about Ruthie's!

A very dear lady and long time friend passed away recently. We are from Massachusetts and the services were in Maine. I made 9 phone calls trying to find a florist that would be able to make an arrangement and deliver it in time for the visiting hours. Two florists were too busy another was too far away to make a delivery. A florist in the same town as the funeral home answered the call on my 5th attempt to reach them. He answered the phone by saying “you aren’t going to give up right?” Anyway I finally reached Carmen at Ruthie’s Flower Shop. I could not be happier with the customer service and care with which Carman solved my problem. The arrangement was lovely and made with care. Thank you to Carmen for her talents and making sure the flowers were delivered on time. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
