Hannaford

Clean store. Wonderful workers. I shop there weekly, sometimes more. Always fresh foods and workers are very helpful. Prices are average. I think they are between Shaws, being most expensive, and market basket, slightly cheaper, but shopping in a less crowded store like MB is sometimes worth more to me. I do read all 3 stores sales paper.

During numerous recent visits the store employees have given me a hard time about my wheelchair (plain black chair, average size, manual operation.) Its the same chair I bring to every other store and every other event but the employees at the Franklin Hannaford seem to have a problem with it. One told me the parking lot was too dark for me to be out in my chair in. Another day an employee told me I couldn't use my wheelchair in their women's restroom for sanitary reasons. I've never experienced anything like it anywhere else.

Not bad when you're local and need something for dinner but the bags they use are super cheap and rip real easy, always need to double bag everything

I’m going to be nice and give it 3 stars since we didn’t make it past the produce and seafood departments. The shelves we did see looked empty. The produce was nasty. The bagged mini bell peppers had mold inside, the loose veggies were soft and wrinkly and the tuna steaks (which were on sale and the reason why we went in there) looked old and dried out. We left.

Hannaford Gilford specifically is typically, clean. well stocked and the staff are always helpful!!! They only draw back can be the deli and the bakery depts
