These guys at Hanover St do a great job even if they are one of the most neglected stores. Ben, Thursday, and many others make great employees and have great attitudes. The management team is very responsive and I tip my hat. I hope they hear this and pay attention to this store instead of running it into the ground because if they continue to ignore it and the great people that shop and work there could go elsewhere. And compared to the Northend and John Divine who get better quality produce and more selection btw… Unfortunately- they treat Hanover St as a lessor demographic and it shows in some places. I’ve tried all three and think corporate is missing the boat by not seeing this store as an equal to the others. The cash only “self check out” is costing them money. Card fees vs cash but we snicker because if everything ended in .05 variation or .00 rounded down would net more profits. I know because at the end of the year “my savings YTD”- are pennies .vs the thousands we spend there all year. Talk about tripping over nickels…

I think the store itself is very clean and beautiful to walk around in. It's typically very clean and it's easy to find what I'm looking for. On this particular trip I was disappointed to see that at lunchtime they were cleaned out of the boneless BBQ chicken and macaroni and cheese at the chicken bar. When I asked about when they would be refilling the bar one of the deli workers said "in a little while, maybe a half hour or so" and I felt it was an unacceptable answer at that time of day. I would think that at lunchtime they would have several pans of food ready to refill the bar. Other than that, my experience in that location is always very pleasant. The cashiers are great and the other employees are always very helpful!

Best grocery store in town. Convenient, reasonable, and great staff. Highly recommend

Overpriced everything save yourself some money and invest in a BJ's membership and get more bang for your buck 699 for a bag of sweet potatoes but you could go across the street to BJ's and get the same organic sweet potatoes for 339 and way better quality. During the holidays they tend to raise the prices as well like we're not doing bad enough with inflation. Hannafords do better

too cheap to replace their roof it floods every time it rains. management doesnt seem too concerned. lazy, unsanitary, messy, and super unsafe for shoppers and staff. crappy store with zero effort from management, do better.
