Walmart makes returns incredibly difficult and quite frankly the policy they point to makes it easy for them to steal money. The cheese sticks were defective and they couldn't offer a refund in the app or over the phone. It will likely be the last time I purchase items without opening and inspecting them in the store before leaving.
Over the weekend, I went to Walmart Supercenter's Auto Department to buy a new battery for my car (it crapped out when I was leaving my campsite) and luckily, they had just what I needed...Thomas at the auto department was super helpful and thorough, along with his colleagues who worked on my car. I wished I had gotten the name of the female mechanic who changed the battery in my car...she was so nice and even gave my dog a couple of treats as he was patiently waiting for my car to be serviced. The car battery change did not require an appointment, I just drove up, bought the battery, and got it changed by the technicians without any extra charge. They also cleaned the inside of the hood of my car.
I had an issue with a return just as I was leaving town. Adam in Customer Service went above and beyond to make sure that my situation was resolved and that I was satisfied with the result. He should be commended for his diligence and positive attitude. We could use more customer experiences like the one I had with Adam!
Beware !!! Automotive service I would not go their. I was told my GMC 3500HD was to heavy for their lift that is rated for 10,000 Lbs and the truck weight was 12,000 lbs. I did not question them on that but I new the truck weight was a lot less then that. It was obvious that they did not want to work because all of them in the shop played into it. The specs on the truck are Curb weight 8206 Lbs and the GVRW is 12,000 Lbs which is the weight of the truck + cargo. They canceled my appointment without even calling me, I got an email it was canceled. They obviously do not know how to lookup up the specs of the vehicle they are working on and in my opinion are not qualified. I happily took my tires and will go to a professional shop to have my work done.
